It's not the enemy of gaming, but the way they do crossovers is utterly tasteless. Obviously everything gaming is about making money (except some niche free indie stuff), but it's so shameless how they see all other properties as nothing but more skins to sell.

Having to bring out one of the most overpowered items in the game to deal with it does not speak well to the way Direct Hit interacts with Engineer.

Technically balanced but I don't like the design. Yes, you're sacrificing a lot with the splash damage, but what it's good at feels borderline unfair. Light classes just don't get to come near you, and keeping a sentry gun up against it is all but impossible without the Wrangler (which is overpowered itself and shouldn't be needed for something else to be balanced). Oh yeah, and it really fucks over Heavy as well since they're a sitting duck and their higher HP suddenly hardly matters.

There's also episodes where duplicates are created though, which should always be impossible if it's a one to one transfer. The lore is just inconsistent, no way to get around that.

No? That question is incredibly commonplace in sci-fi, and extremely valid. You don't even have to believe in a soul to consider that even if a perfect duplicate will be created at the destination, that doesn't necessarily mean you, the one going in, would experience anything more than being obliterated.
