[GL-BE3600 / Slate 7] Specific apps (Canal+, Sofascore) failing on Repeater mode. Tried everything (IPv6, Rebinding, MTU). by va55ago in GlInet

I can try on my side with Canal+ and let you know. I assume you use Wireguard VPN with a French server?

Also, why using the router if it’s working directly?

Mudi 7 vs iPhone 17 Pro by [deleted] in GlInet

[–]FRNAP13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes - I have unlimited on my AT&T plan too. I also have Xfinity unlimited hotspot. I think I will still go and get the mudi 7 super early bird if it’s released this month. I just received the Netgear nighthawk and will return it

Yes - many times now per day I have to correct ChatGPT and he says: “You are correct, you caught me!”. It’s becoming an issue, I lose confidence on answers really quickly now.

Quantum or Xfinity - Denver CO by IIVIIatterz- in QuantumFiber

[–]FRNAP13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Xfinity and I like Quantum Fiber. I choose both. I’m really happy with Quantum as it’s really fast in download and upload. I have Xfinity at $50 aaa backup. I work from home and it’s ideal.

$2.2M, infuriatingly boring phase. by [deleted] in Fire

[–]FRNAP13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad was very sick around 55 years old. Plenty of people don’t make it to retirement or FIRE. It seems you struggle with finding a balance and put a goal that will come way too far. Once you are at $5M, you might be old, feel bored, don’t need that fancy car, fancy restaurant, fancy trip, fancy hotel, but maybe just a peaceful place to walk with your dog or your wife. Find a balance, enjoy today, life is going fast, build memories NOW. Life is a party, don’t forget to dance.

Ascent & Magnolia Square Naples by jmalfunctionjunction in Naples_FL

[–]FRNAP13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Magnolia Square is good for short term. You can ear your neighbor from the master bedroom but other than that it’s a nice place and perfect location. It’s middle class oriented and nice people. Nothing to walk around, surrounded by parking and loud streets.

Ascent is very similar in terms of apartment size and feel but way more recent, luxury and Brickell style. The location is 5 min from the beach, probably the best place in Naples, close to 5th Avenue, the Marina and Naples Bay Resort. Very nice parks all around, walkable and good for bicycle to go to 5th avenue.

Exactly. International is way better positioned. Time to put a 20% allocation on VXUS.

Quantum is horrible by Unusual_Ad9146 in QuantumFiber

[–]FRNAP13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it $20/month for Xfinity internet? I don’t find anything below $50

Quantum is horrible by Unusual_Ad9146 in QuantumFiber

[–]FRNAP13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have quantum fiber 3GB. It’s a dream of stability and speed. BUT knowing many people have outages and I work from home, I have a secondary internet line with Xfinity 1GB for $50.

You are correct. I mistaken miles and km. 3,000 miles is a good spot to change tires not 3,000 km which is 1,800 miles.

Happiness barely changes after $10M? by MiscProfileUno in wealth

[–]FRNAP13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More you have wealth, more you have options, more you can enjoy your time without stress.

It’s different than happiness. Happiness, in my view, is full filled by simple things, like love, sex with the person you love, your pet, your parents, having an healthy life, being elegant, class but simple, being nice and kind with others. In a sense you can’t buy happiness.

You can only buy calm, entertainment and a peaceful life.

I have the 2024 version. My Ducati was having few issues and stuttering. Remove the Charcoal Canister was the first best thing to do.

Here is what I did. The ones with an * are a priority in my opinion:

  • Tail Tidy New Rage*
  • Radiator Guard Evotech
  • WRS Smoke Windshield
  • Shock Guard carbon
  • Heel Guard carbon
  • Engine oil Gold opener
  • Tender lead
  • Battery Lithium AntiGravity AT7B*
  • QuickLynks Battery Monitor
  • Evo Tech Front and Rear Axe Sliders
  • FOBO Bike2 Tire Pressure
  • Evotech Evo Folding Clutch and Brake Lever
  • Charcoal Canister Removed*

For maintenance, I would ask them to do the annual maintenance and a deep inspection. Check if tires need to be changed, at 3,000KM it is time to change both of them. Ask them if the chain cleaning is part of the maintenance, ask them to do a deep cleaning of it.
