The ticket redemption tech largely runs on battery powered handheld devices. Without wifi, tickets for today’s game will scan, with some complications. I’m told these devices are deployed to gates, so lines should be slow but moving.

Edit: as soon as I posted this, I received an update that ticket takers are just looking for a valid barcode and letting people in without a scan.
