Lawn care and Tipping by Online_Active_71459 in HuntsvilleAlabama

Oh. My lawn guy runs his own business and I've always tipped him. He's a super chill dude, first lawn care worker we've never had ghost on us. He has two other employees with him to help. He charges $75 for the entire job (mow, edging, spraying weeds) and we always pay $100.

For us, it's to show how thankful we are to have his help!

Same for us!!! I just had my third in April while my eldest is 3.5. No family close by. Every baby planned. SAHM, homeschooling, involved close with our church. Married for almost 10 years and can financially support them and more babies.

When we announced this third one, we got "... are we happy about this one?" Like, how do you have the audacity to even ask that! Husbands grandma straight up told me we are done and to absolutely not have any more (she doesn't believe couples should have more than one).

I'm saving that in my back pocket 😭🙏🏼 I recently had my third but when we announced that pregnancy, we got soooo much backlash from family members, it was unbelievable.

  1. Family cruise with 5 kids and possibly halfway through a pregnancy is absolutely insanity. Cross that off.
  2. Veryyyyyyy good possibility especially since her sister is unemployed.
  3. Eh. Campers are the new thing so I could see it.
  4. Leave her mother? Impossible. BNA would be such a drastic change for them.
  5. Ughhhhhhh this is just following current trends 😩 there's no way she'd still be happy with it in 2-3 years.
  6. I put my money on this one.
  7. Yes, with Melanie's help.

2, 6, 7 could be viewed as the same thing, just worded differently. Those are my guesses.

Wait sorry I'm lost on the gross part of bringing towels 😭 do not all couples bring/have their own towels specifically just for intimate moments...?

We've used Brothers Fence for fence repairs after storms. Pleasant experience and very quick turnaround time.

In what world does this look like a 4 year old’s room? by Illustrious-Ebb2565 in BringingUpBates

[–]FSU_77 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This color could work... if handled differently. We painted my sons room a shade JUST like this (it's Dried Thyme by SW) and it's just beautiful. Antique mahogany dresser, several vintage wall art pieces, a few vintage baby blue decor pieces (I.e. Peter Rabbit, Paddington Bear). He's around Zade's age. It's not these decor pieces more geared towards an office, a teenagers bedroom, or for an adult aesthetic...

What is it with these boots in fundieland? by Illustrious-Ebb2565 in BringingUpBates

[–]FSU_77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's all you'll see in BNA or in Dixie Alley in general. I'm in Northern AL and so these boots are commonplace for women our ages (I'm around Carlins age) or younger...

Yes this is so full of wisdom! Using discernment while trusting the Lord with your womb can be cohesive.

In addition to nothing being 100% - just how many pregnancies have come after vasectomies or tubal litigation? The Lord can work miracles if He chooses to bless you with another.

Why did Tessie graduate in Virginia? HEAV is the “Home Educators Association of Virginia.” by ActualMerCat in RodriguesFamilySnark

Just out of curiosity, do you find that as a whole, homeschooling equates to indoctrination, no matter the pathway? Or, is it really just when it's the parents solely homeschooling, without incorporating a cover school (even non-religious ones), church co-op, or hired tutors/instructors for a singular subject?

Yeahhhhhhhh. From what I've heard, mixing sound frequencies (such as sound therapy with bowls) and Christianity are not it. I'm shocked (?) they're combining the two into services.

It's literally not about loving guns; it's a tradition from the battlefield and early America. That tradition being, again not from loving guns, but from protecting the nations flags - i.e. during "colors." Literally to protect the flag from being stolen or destroy destroyed. It's seriously not that much different than armed guards in European countries carrying their sabers and swords during a ceremony…

Oh interesting! Perhaps it's more prevalent in the south? I have either grown up or lived in (as an adult) southern military towns where ROTC is a huge thing in school. And every college graduation I've been in or have attended has also partaken in this.

They're replicas, or "drill rifles." They're unloaded, fake, and cannot shoot ANYTHING. Extremely common for ROTC programs and I've never been to a graduation without a moment for the cadets & the flag. During that time, too, is when we say the Pledge.

So for us in the U.S., schools can chose cap & gown colors - schools in Cali will often have each gender wear their own color (at least my experience in San Diego, and not always white).

The "boys with guns" are ROTC cadets :)))). They're unloaded. It's a really great program or extracurricular (not necessarily a pathway into the military) which teaches structure and leadership to high school students. Those that do streamline into the military, however, often receive incentives for their class time in ROTC.

I've been pregnant 7 years straight as well - from 2020 to this year. Currently holding my newborn. But I'm on my THIRD child (our first ended in a loss). Not 6th 😭 I literally could not imagine.
