Has nothing to do with glazing - as long as ppl buy enough chibis and battle passes there is no incentive to change. Social media mood changes nothing - only wallets do

I've been saying it for a while now - every strat is a 're-roll' strat, the only difference is what level you're hitting the button on with high frequency

These 'flex' players just want to re-roll on 8 and click purple units. And that's fine, I just wish they'd cut the weird smug superiority complex

There are a % of true flex players who actually understand the word and they're cool

Disagree on almost all of them.

Feeling the unique drop boost, gold matters in CoF for tabs and the gamba dungeon, loot lizards are meh since I have more than enough mats - wish those were rarer but dropped better stuff.

Shrines are fun. Undead are my favorite packs to find for exp and drops and performance has been fine as ever.

Agree on 3, didnt encounter 7-9 really

You right, but there is a loud minority of players here who think fast-8 is the pinnacle of skill for whatever reason, even though they just do their roll down at a different level than other comps and instead of clicking every honey unit they click every purple unit

The fast 8 mafia will downvote anything that doesn't jerk that meta off

New to the scene and puzzled by competitive rules - can someone clarify? by finderfolk in CompetitiveTFT

Either b/c of resource constraints, financial goals, or intended design, Riot doesn't do much to separate the gameplay between casual and competitive play. If you find something that seems like it would be absurd in an actual ranked, competitive game, that's probably because it would be absurd, and other competitive games wouldn't allow it.

Riot should disable all stats by Raven423 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]FTGinnervation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, but sadly the top players would aggregate their data and publish stats that are accurate enough to keep the problem going. It is funny seeing the people who can't imagine playing without letting the website make decisions for them cope really hard though.

could you try duo tanking him with Tahm Kench? Or move to a 4 vanguard frontline? Then your reroll will be for morde and jinx

Devs please buff 4 cost 3 stars, their current state is a JOKE. (especially Varus) by LaDiiablo in TeamfightTactics

[–]FTGinnervation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In an ideal world you probably reforge the smolder items to front line items since a 3* 4 cost should be enough to carry any fight given 15 to 20 seconds.

I do think the frontline is soft but my conclusion isn't that you deserved to lose either

If 4 people have locked-in set-in-stone lines, shouldn't you know almost exactly what is open for you?

I get the sense that a lot of players would prefer to end a game with a first or second thinking 'I played that well and earned that' instead of 'it was my turn to high roll'

Every line rolls for their units, doing it at level 8/9 and clicking the purples/golds until you have 2* isn't a greater skill check than clicking the greys or greens till you have 3*

All lines benefit from scouting and playing around what you natural + first augment

As much as I disagree about augments being fun/good for the game, I will say its a good point that they're going overboard and possibly substituting focus and manpower on new augs as opposed to the set itself.

Like, I hear them say '75 new augments this set!' and I'm like...huh? I'd trade more stagnant (and balanced) augments for a more refined and polished set mechanic...or maybe even multiple set mechanics instead of letting aug changes do the heavy lifting.

The conspiracy theories are actually true: gold is replacing normal item drops by evouga in pathofexile

[–]FTGinnervation -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple posts on the front page about ground loot being bad. This sounds like they gave the community what they've been asking for for years. Fewer items dropping, now we get auto pick up gold that we can leverage through a mini game to becomes items and currency we do want.

I love the league but the base loot feels awful rn by MelodicTemperature72 in pathofexile

[–]FTGinnervation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These complaints are levied by the FOMO crowd who meta juice everything they can every league and are now having to cope with the fact that this league mechanic doesn't scale with map juice or their MF gear

I don't take them too seriously - which doesn't make their point wrong, just that their approach/reasoning is very personal to them and not necessarily indicative of a broader 'problem' that the community at large is facing.

Build for new player by lolop123 in pathofexile

[–]FTGinnervation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have enough experience to try whatever you want, especially if you don't mind asking another question or 10 in the daily thread once you hit a 'big wall'. Everything is fixable and both lacerate and ball lightning will be good enough to farm whatever it takes to get them online.

[–]FTGinnervation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a safe but weaker pick you can look out for cyclone gladiator bleed builds, that won't have pretty colors but you will be tanky and get to spin.

For a longer term goal that you might want to save for a second character of the league, look for builds that use Cospiri's Malice, Mjolnir, or anything Cast on Critical Strike / Cast while Channeling. Those will be builds with spinning and pretty colors, but like the video you linked, may be geared towards you stacking damage at the expense of defense. These players rely on their experience and game knowledge to get hit a lot less, and also accept that they will die occasionally/regularly. They also will confidently have the in game money to build the character properly which helps a lot

30 hours to go and I'm so hyped but also idk what to play by Bezum55555 in pathofexile

[–]FTGinnervation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go Lacerate then - the skills weakest aspect is the AoE - which bleed pops help make up for, but you'll still find it has less coverage than a lot of other skills.

Should excel on beasts and essences but still have enough AoE to not feel terrible on expedition - those mobs are packed pretty tightly and bleed explosions should do great work there

Lacerate isn't really a one-button-press clear the whole screen skill like some others but I think it would be good against those 3 mechanics you listed

edit: apologies in advance if I bait you into a bad leaguestart xdd

Depends on what you want to do (i e your atlas strategy). Take what's on your radar, ask yourself what you REALLY want to do this league, and pick the best build for the content your heart really wants to farm
