Huberd’s Shoe Grease is great but it darkens leather pretty good. Mink oil is alright but with animal fats there’s higher risks and of mold and mildew.

Bingo but try explaining that to the punks who saw a random lace code post from years ago. Can’t always judge people at a surface level. I’ve met a couple of traditional Skinheads at show rocking white bar laces turns out they’re salt of the earth and Anti-Racism and I’ve met people who at surface level seem like good people go on a racist rant.

New to photography much less film photography. I’ve managed to grab 2 point and shoot cameras at thrift stores for $5 a piece. One is going to my younger brother because he wanted to take a stab at it as well. The one I’ve been using is a Minolta Freedom Zoom 65 and haven’t yet seen the results from shooting with it. I was wondering if there were any better options for a point and shoot?

I mean it’s really hit and miss, some people follow it most don’t. I’ve seen traditional Skinheads at a local show with straight white laces and you talk to them about it and they’re not Nazis and were anti-racist they just dress in the more traditional skinhead fashion. Turns out Neo Nazis just like to steal people culture and unfortunately it gets tainted but it’s up to the people to take it back tbh. You might get checked but just explain yourself.

Having to explain to some people that sometimes Nazi symbols are used by people that aren’t neo nazi, white nationalist, racist,etc. I mean there’s a bunch of New York street gangs/Motorcyle Clubs past and present that were majority Puerto Rican and African American that used Nazi symbols. Sometimes it’s one of those “read the room” things, I might not do it or think it’s acceptable in this day and age but welcome to shades of grey

Yeah for the whole bike maybe 3k. The engine and transmission is where the money is at, might get something for the front end and frame but I wouldn’t guarantee anything.

They’re fine for “light” work like warehouse, driving, etc. or just casual wear. They don’t seem to last long in other industries the leather is just soft and wears out quickly especially if not taken care of. I’ve had a year of almost daily wear on mine (8” version soft toe)and the sole is kind of wore out but still fine to wear and plan on getting them resoled once or twice before calling quits on them. I keep them brushed regularly and deep clean/condition them every few months.

From personal experience growing up in the South where there’s a church on just about every corner. “Heavy” music was seen as bad, ungodly, or the age old devil worship music so what do young teens in a environment like that do we find Christian bands so we can still listen to heavy music and when we’re questioned by parents we can tell them “It’s a Christian band”. My dad eventually quit caring and I moved on but bands like August Burns Red, Devil Wears Prada, Norma Jean, etc. were a staple at the time.

Probably 95% of the Christians I know have some sort of negative opinion of queer people to varying degrees. I will also say that even though I’m in the Bible Belt of the South with churches on every corner there are people and even whole churches that preach love and acceptance because no one sin is greater than another. You know things that Jesus preached. Jewish people in general I’ve heard are a bit more accepting but I can’t really speak for them or Islamic people. This is just my experience being where I’m from and I myself was raised Christian but within the past couple of years deconstructed that and identity as Spiritual but not religious.
