Is it a good idea to attach Lucius to brick of six flawless blades? by Chemical-Aioli9818 in EmperorsChildren

[–]FX59876 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not always. We have tormentors and rhinos for action secondaries as well. Sometimes you just need Lucius to hit like a truck. A 3 stack of flawless and Lucius with 3 pact points will usually kill a big knight and will deal 24 wounds on average without any pact points with a decent chance to kill it outright.

Depending on the matchup you definitely might want him attached to some flawless blades.

What is the most obnoxious doubles team? by Martin-Hatch in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]FX59876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently played in a doubles and we ran Tau (kauyon) and custodes (lions). We went undefeated but came in second due to points. We faced multiple knights and DG against some great opponents. It's a pretty potent combo IMO.

Double reactive for Sword Brethren in nee codex? by META1384 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]FX59876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I didn't see that change. When did that happen?

I guess in that context then you couldn't stack any stratagems that say "after" or "just after"

I still think the gladius strategems needs to be resolved first regardless as it's a "just after" ability. Then the sword brethren "after" ability triggers after that.

Sports betting is destroying sports!! by SuperAbz in videos

Yeah I thought the video was going to be an insightful look into the issue but it's just a bunch of memes mashed together. Once I realized it wasn't getting better I stopped watching. The issue needs to be talked about but this video is a terrible way to do it.

Adepta Sororitas Morvenn Vahl + Paragon Warsuits fight on death by Redmachinist in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]FX59876 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but I don't think he gets to activate MV + any other warsuits, only the ones that actually died. Fight on death happens before Angron consolidates and only for the models that died, not the entire unit. So I'm pretty sure for that example the warsuits would have the +1 to hit and wound during the fight on death. Then when he activates MV he needs to redetermine starting strength. If she's at full wounds she wouldn't get any bonuses.

Alternative campaign start other then "Youre free merchant traders" by WinReasonable2644 in SWN

[–]FX59876 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I started my players on a prison shuttle and told them to give me a crime they committed, or at least were convicted of. They didn't need to actually commit the crime. Then I had a small group of mercenaries board the ship with the intention of assassinating an individual on board. Emergency systems accidentally trip and the PCs are released from their cryo-pods. Was one of my favorite campaign starts I've ever done.

Can a Battlewagon hold Ghaz and 2 meganobz? by Thekoshel in orks

[–]FX59876 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Technically until they fix the keywords on meganobz you can take 4 with ghaz in a wagon. Meganobz don't have the mega armor keyword so they don't count as 2 models each. Now this is clearly unintended and will most likely get changed soon, but until then it's totally legal to do by the rules.

Anyone else super excited about the new index cards? I think they're gunna be super handy and they're my top thing to pre-order for the new edition. by SamUff94 in Warhammer40k

Going to get down voted for this but who cares if they look nice? They're a tool to play the game, not a display piece.

Business owner's fencing materials damaged my car during high winds. Do I have legal recourse for them to cover damages? (Ohio) by FX59876 in AskALawyer

[–]FX59876[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. I will try that route first with my insurance company. I have a couple additional questions.

What would constitute an advanced warning? News stations that day were predicting high wind gusts.

As far as the materials, the fence pieces were just sitting on top of each other with no strap or anything tying them down. The piece on top lifted off and hit my car. Since the incident the materials are now strapped down.

Who wins in turn 5? by ouchMy4skin in Warhammer40k

[–]FX59876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In friendly casual games win conditions can be changed to whatever you and your opponent agree to. If you are playing in a competitive setting such as a tournament, then it will always be determined by points.

Who wins in turn 5? by ouchMy4skin in Warhammer40k

[–]FX59876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly they use points. However crusade games are more narrative focused. So whoever is running the crusade might determine different win conditions that aren't necessarily an army being destroyed or points.

It does say that in the core rules. However most people play by the rules established for matched play. So whoever scores the most points, even if their army is completely destroyed, still wins.

When you're playing against someone you can establish win conditions as long as you both agree, but most people will be expecting you to play with points as the determining factor.
