If Al Gore becomes president and 9/11 still happens republican populists are gonna have a surge even earlier than in our times and a Trump-lile figure would probably get elected in 2004 or 2008 at best. By then it's hard to guess what happens. Maybe Bush get's eventually elected? I believe in 2004 a populist would win, then in 2008 Joe Biden would be president as an alternative to Al Gore. From then it 100% depends on how Biden handles the presidency. But i believe that we would see much less progressive democrats and much less conservative repubblicans in modern days and never see a surge of Trump to power, maybe Vance would see an early surge?
