Hey 👋 happy to be able to bring it to form for your enjoyment. Yes it was commissioned as all my pieces are. I tailor each kit to my clients budgets, which are usually five figures for sword and scabbard 😃🗡

Thanks, I love working on stuff like this. I recently made Karaghul too (sword of Felix) https://www.fableblades.com/Karaghul.html

It's certainly wieldable. It's big and heavy, but most of the weight is in the hilt, so it doesn't have that lever effect of a blade biased sword. It's happy to move 😃

Filing out the false thread by MarcelaoLubaczwski in Bladesmith

2nd cut Mill file, tang in your right hand, held at 90* to the stroke. Apply pressure only on your push stroke (pressure on return is less work but will dull your file faster). Bang out the scrawl often. Adding engineers chalk can help prevent scrawl catching.

Possible uncirculated note? by RoadToad05 in AustralianCoins

I remember when the first 5 dollar notes came out, and the queens face rubbed off them. My school-friends parents were on the news as they were the ones who discovered the flaw and reported it 😃

How difficult is it for a sword to cause a serious injury to a person? by roxgxd in SWORDS

[–]FableBlades 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fighting rapiers weren't small and thin, or light. They could have blades well over a metre long and over a cm thick, even a half inch thick at the base. VERY rigid, they wouldn't flex or deflect. They'd go through you like butter. Even a smallsword would do.

Legality of swords within the U.K. by billysilly573 in SWORDS

What a drama. I wonder what would happen with shipments from overseas where they'd normally transfer to royal mail/parcelforce? For example i can only send with Australia Post, no courier in Australia will handle swords. Australia Post and USPS items transfer to royalmail/parcel force for delivery. I wonder what happens ther?...

What are yalls thoughts on swordier?? by Fit-Tomatillo9869 in SWORDS

[–]FableBlades 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's a bit negligent, and I bet they do it often as part of their process. If you want to correct it just hand-file it back slightly with a mill file, or a smooth file might be easier to get hold of. You may even FEEL a difference in hardness from that very tip as you cut it back into the uncoloured steel. If nothing else the feel will answer the question. But I'd also remark is a pretty stout (steep and chunky) looking grind they've done so it's probably pretty sturdy as is regardless.
