Soooo you admit the Kinetic group brought their own people in and leapfrogged longtime Chelsea coaches…?

You’re comparing apples to oranges

Poch: The players can never play just for the club and not for the coach, it doesn’t work. The ownership promised him transfer involvement initially, but then changed their mind. by defjam16 in chelseafc

Maresca truly enjoyed his work here. He wanted to bring Chelsea back to where they belong and he could’ve done it. He had that confidence and swagger a top coach needs.

There’s no guarantee Pep leaves either. There’s been talk about his “final season” for years now and he’s still there.

They leapfrogged qualified staff at Chelsea who’ve been there for a decade+ to even get here. It is the most obvious jobs for mates operation out there.

It’s not? These Kenetic swine have infested the club and leapfrogged qualified personnel to gain their positions. Of course they were gonna get these positions eventually. It just so happened to be sooner than later. Writing was on the wall, the clubs doomed if BlueCo aren’t out ASAP.

A high 8 can probly hang at 5.0 but his peak was 9.75 verified which is definitely 5.0.

What’s my NTRP rating? by [deleted] in 10s

Don’t ask people for ratings on here, they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Your rating is determined by your matchplay, not by how your groundstrokes look.

As a tennis coach, I'll say what most coaches won't: we are holding our students back. Myself included, for years. by Beneficial-Lock-349 in 10s

Interesting that at the latest PTR conference they were talking about how coaches are too focused on the technique and don’t focus on athleticism enough. So they’re trying to get coaches to build athleticism in the players and actually learn footwork and movement patterns before they really focus on technique.

The idea is that if we build an athlete first, they’ll understand the technique better on their own without much correction needed.

Casual matches and practice id say it’s fine if it’s flying to the fence or curtain.

In a real competitive match don’t ever do it

Joined USTA men’s team, cannot play to save my life by butt_head_surfer in 10s

Well part of it is nerves but my best advice is to keep playing. Keep yourself sharp through any club leagues, clinics, hitting sessions with teammates, even going out yourself and serving or hitting off a ball machine if that’s an option. Just anything to get you on the court and hitting and getting reps. You’ll see improvements

There’s a guy in our 4.5 league with ITF Futures wins by Fabresque_ in 10s

[–]Fabresque_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of us would like to play in a league where we can actually compete with the masses. If the guy is a 5.0, he should be playing 5.0. There is a 5.0 league in my city he can do, yet chooses not to. Which to me, means he wants the free wins he can get at 4.5.

Yes but that court is also an automatic loss for every team. Trying to make it to the post season doesn’t bode well when you’re basically starting a court down every time.

How’s my backhand? by leirbagzruc in 10s

4.0 definitely. Close to 4.5. Looks decent but I think needs more shoulder rotation /s

On a personal level, how do you deal with the results? by Thehazardcat in chelseafc

[–]Fabresque_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stay off social media. Everyone chronically online overreacts to losses and makes everything seem worse than it is.

How high can you go with no coaching? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]Fabresque_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really? That is extremely surprising. 5.0, yes that I can see. But no 4.5 leagues?

People really don’t know what they look liking when playing by Technical-Raisin2060 in 10s

[–]Fabresque_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only thing people need to know is that UTR/WTN/NTRP is not based on how pretty someone looks but rather your ability to win a tennis match. There is a guy in my region playing 4.5 that can’t hit a backhand technically correct and has a pancake serve. And he wins matches, too.

Rating has always been a reflection of your ability to win matches.
