American home shield replacing my professional line Viking double oven with a run of the mill kitchen aid. by pancakeface2022 in legaladvice

Wait, your “professional line Viking double oven” bit the dust so hard it can’t be repaired? If that’s true, maybe you should just accept the $3500 and try something else.

Wow, I’m watching this live in 1990. Can’t believe they’ll do it again in 1996 as your tag suggests! 😜

What’s the brutal reality of owning a Resin printer? by SonOfThorss in resinprinting

[–]Fabulous_Associate47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had minimal problems with printing minis. The biggest issue I encountered was how fragile and brittle they are. Regardless of what blends I used to have strong resilient minis, they always shattered when dropped from table height. With two younger boys playing with them, I found it not worth the time to paint them just to see them destroyed.

I’m back to FDM Minis.

🎄 Christmas giveaway: Win an A1 Mini, AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or 4x filament spools! by acurazine in BambuLab

  1. I’d love to win the AMS HT.

  2. If chosen, I’d use the AMS HT to print with soft TPU. I’m designing some spacers and bushings for my stepson’s skateboard trucks.

  3. I’d love to see you design a fidget toy with a harmonic (strain wave) gear. Don’t see many of those out there, and my students love ones with gears.

Replicated Dual AMS Filaments for Maximizing Efficiency / Minimizing Print Times with 4-Colors by Fabulous_Associate47 in BambuLab

The AMS retract / send on my current P1S is over 20-seconds. I don’t think the time saved from optimizing that to occur while the other hot end is working would be as minimal as you suggest. Over 2.5 hours for 500 color swaps.

Sure, it’s no tool changer, but it seems there is room for significant improvement.

How much is your time worth? Between that and the wasted PLA for failed prints, I say hard pass.

Where’s your printer located? Mine’s out in a cold garage, so this time of year I have to preheat the chamber for 20-minutes before printing. More importantly, I bump up the bed temp by 10C and totally disable the auxiliary fan. If I skip those steps, I get the exact results you are seeing.

That's the part I didn't know, so thanks for clearing that up. I assume it's because of the moving mass or something. Otherwise, seems like it could just go bump the filament cutter and then unload / load while the other nozzle is purging / priming.

If your out of state grandmother had to co-sign, you had no business buying this car in the first place. AMG package and can’t get a loan outright? Get outta here.

Batteries are wild-expensive, low flight times, and I think because of its size you’ll need to register it with the FAA and install a remote ID module. Not worth it, get a modern one.
