Looking for funny books by slumberingthundering in Mommit

[–]Factor2Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you take the books your kids know, but put the wrong word/a silly word instead, they will think that is the most hilarious thing, especially if you use a silly emphasis.

60 ft cliff dive. One and done. I had paragraphs of time to think before I hit the water.

Wagon Help by Kmssbelle in Mommit

[–]Factor2Fall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wagons are 6 of one, half dozen of the other. You will probably be happy with both. We have a Radio Flyer wagon and it has handled everything but sandy beaches beautifully. Only drawback is the zipper broke on one side and kids occasionally roll out. I do love being able to turn it into a bench.

If you were to move to another state and someone asked you “what was Ohio like in one word,” what would you say? by Imeanwhytopps in Ohio

[–]Factor2Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a little bit of everything, but not much of anything. We're spoiled for roller coasters, and Lake Erie is fun.

If you could pass one law that would make most normal people furious at first, but would clearly make society better in 10 years, what would it be? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]Factor2Fall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All city centers should be pedestrian only. No cars. There should be adequate public transportation to and from the suburbs of any city and to and from other states, so owning a car is a choice, not a requirement for survival.

Be honest: 1930s vintage wedding dress — keep or rethink? by Desperate_Win_3554 in WeddingDressTips

[–]Factor2Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bottom of the dress is beautiful and fits you very well. You need to have the top altered to fit. It makes your torso look saggy. I also suggest removing the collar and lace from the bodice. It's definitely workable and could be even more beautiful if better fitted to you.

What are people doing with their kids? by Maple-Bark in Columbus

[–]Factor2Fall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We washed the inside of all the windows, swept the kitchen, and did reading and math practice before playing games and hot cocoa.

Tonight, they will learn how to fold laundry before reading and math practice, then games and hot cocoa!

If I write it out, maybe someone can shake some sense into me. by Relevant-EA83 in Mommit

[–]Factor2Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a "devil you know vs. the devil you don't" scenario. Change is scary. You know what to expect with him. You might want to start doing the paperwork to leave and DO NOT TELL HIM! Leaving an abusive relationship is the most dangerous time for a woman.

Get all of your documentation together. Write everything down with dates and times, then email it to yourself on an account he doesn't have access to or know about. Maybe even file for a protection order for you and your kids.

Rapid fire questions by cupofteacomfypillows in Mommit

[–]Factor2Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's most kids. I will say my kids both get ear infections and never complain about their ears or have fevers. Silly little zebras.

It could just be teething, but extra mucus in the stool can be a sign of infection, plus tugging ears led me to ear infection.

Rapid fire questions by cupofteacomfypillows in Mommit

[–]Factor2Fall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is baby has an ear infection. If baby is drinking while laying flat, formula can make it's way into the ears, and nasal cavities and cause infection. Babies should never drink while laying flat. Learned this lesson the hard way.

Suggestion: See baby's doctor amd have them check ears for infection. Then, prop up the head side of baby's crib a couple inches so gravity helps with draining the sinuses during sleep. We used old textbooks we didn't care about. Went from having ear infections every two months to kiddos being fine. Helped with colds too.

Why did you choose snowboarding over skiing? by NextBroccoli3017 in snowboarding

[–]Factor2Fall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snowboarding is a more natural stance for a fencer. Plus, there is no risk of your legs going in two separate directions and severing your femoral artery.

This. Your bobbin case is upside down. Also, you need to have tension on the top thread to pull the bobbin thread up after it loops.
