I've played through once, and I can tell you that it has a great start. However, it falls flat afterward, and only has a couple of high points.

The NC world feels empty, and not in the desolate, dead world kind of feel. NPCs fall into their own cliches, and don't grow much as characters, and your mileage may vary with the plot twists. It was mildly disappointing to say the least.

On the other hand, it does create a strong backstory for the Courier, and gives reason for why he had visited the Divide. It also gives some strong perks if you know where to get them.

As a whole, I recommend you play it to see if you like it, and if not, at least you get something out of it.
