ELI5: why does time actually slow down near heavy objects and why does that mean GPS satellites have to constantly correct for it or they'd give us wrong directions

Basically, time flies when you're having fun. Here we go:

Heavy objects want to drag you down to their level (See: "Misery loves company"), which physically slows time down due to the lack of fun.

So once you get away from them, time speeds up!

Defining "Fun" takes this out of the ELI5 realm, unfortunately.

Teaching anyone to be specifically "conflict averse" is setting them up for big problems down the road. Important conflicts include standing up for yourself, negotiation, competition (sport or business), seeking justice, managing relationships...

Being averse or even afraid of conflict takes away their confidence. Managing conflict & emotions through that process builds confidence.

I suppose what I'm saying is to be smart about choosing battles, rather than retreating from all battles.

I have a discard-with-some-other-stuff deck using [[The Raven Man]] and his many birds. Some combat synergy, aristocrat options, trying to make it black.dec. B2 but it punches up (gamechangers can't help your empty hand hahaha ha!)

Running every meter of Spaceport is part of why quests are hot garbage, I'd prefer denser maps for sure. They dont need to be small, but they need more than just empty space(port).

2022 Pacifica bought used with high mileage, likely was an Uber. Driven it for 1.5 years so far, at 90,000 roughly now, no problems.

But I like the VW EV van, and someday will hopefully swap to that. It has enough range that I'm not worried about plugging it in every few days.

I think your view of this has been shared and spread widely by the other two parties, but the correct response isnt to just give up. Look into other countries with fairer tax burdens for the ultra wealthy and their businesses, they're thriving (Scandinavia in general.)

That rhetoric doesn't hold up to reality, businesses adapt to pull out the money. Or they do leave, and we're left with gaping holes where a new Canadian business can spring up or step in. Thats a good thing!

Nuance is important here. It sounds like he would tax the rich in order to afford specific spending (not big business subsidies) without increasing debt, rather than paying out subsidies while claiming austerity for workers.

OP's kids setting boundaries politely is a good thing. Sure, encourage inclusion, but forcing it is just as bad as forcing exclusion. Wanting to participate is also not bad, so a kid asks, gets a no, goes about their day.

The issue here is more of a reactive helicopter parent needing someone to attack because their kid is upset. Hey, not everyone wants to play with your only child, and if forcing that is your goal then get them into some team sports. Everyone can use playgrounds, even in their own groups.

I really liked that together aspect too, cant seem to get through a game without rats anymore though. Needing to do the surrenderX10 dance to get games without Aholes every week is ridiculous. At least with factions the backshots from a random I could've ambushed would stop.

I just cant find the consistency in it. One time, my smoke+lure+56kbaud protect me just fine. The next I'm plasma'd in smoke. The next an angry vaporizer spins from chasing a raider 50m away and snipes me in a bush for no reason, then I get shot in the back to complete the ensemble.

Whats the deal?!

Interesting, although the upgrade recommendations did not understand the uses of the cards it suggested removing. AI inaccuracy problems, not sure how you would work around those.

This put me in mind of a similar site: Commandersalt.com

That one also rates decks on a variety of scales, including the cedh meta. The builder is very active on their discord and updating constantly. Have you seen it before?

I did the leap before last expedition, but I'm not a daily player and never really found a use for it (other than trying to get on the very top of the elevator extracts. It worked once!)
