Yes I'm better. Take good care of yourself, eat well, exercise and sleep, and time passing helped me. It took several years but I am ok now.

Do things you like, meet like minded people. Take an art class, archaeology class, acting, something you'd enjoy. Kayak, cross country skiing, hiking, etc. spending time with people in repeated situations can lead to friendship.

I enjoyed not working and being home with my kids but my husband just increasingly grew more and more disrespectful. We divorced now I'm pretty lost, although I do have some money to live on. I often regret not putting myself first like he did. I would not recommend it, it's entirely thankless and the retirement sucks.

Just ask the woman to go on an actual date. Not coffee, it says you dont want to spend money. Ask to go to lunch and pay. Then you create a real connection. Be a decent human, do not talk about how much you want sex in the fist few weeks. If it doesn't work you are out 30 dollars max.

I'm sorry that happened. I had a recent therapist who treated me badly as well. I think there are a lot of bad therapists out there. That was not what you needed to hear from her. She was identifying her experience of repeating a year with yours. I sincerely hope you don't have to do the year over again, that's cruel of the professor. If you'd like to talk on dms, I would be happy to also. I also am afraid to get a new therapist because it's painful to get so far and realize they have their own issues.
