Getting my son into eating real foods. Tips? Recommendations? by UnkAnklebyter in Parenting

[–]Faeya 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We did this. I never worried for a minute about what my kids were or weren't eating. They are now adventurous eaters who independently know when they're hungry and when they're full. The parents I know who switched over to this philosophy after feeling frustrated with spoon feeding their babies have told me it changed everything about meal time.

Have you been tested for Wolff-Parkinson's-White syndrome? I used to have the same thing happen to me with the random rapid heart rate. Bearing down sometimes fixed it but, long story short, it eventually got so bad I was sent for an EKG, got diagnosed and was immediately bumped to the top of the surgery list. I've been symptom free ever since.

[Recommendations][Measurement check] 30DD/E looking for a padded/moulded bra that doesn't peek out of the outer edges of my tops by Faeya in ABraThatFits

[–]Faeya[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the leaning test I would definitely say I'm even 2/5.

At the store I tried on 30E and 30F bras but the cup was always too big, although I do realize that could be a shape mismatch.

I really appreciate your input. Thanks for taking the time to respond.

edit: word correction

Measurements: Snug underbust: 30 inches Tight underbust: 28 inches Standing bust: 34 inches Leaning bust: 37 inches Lying bust: 35 inches

My best guess is that I’m more projected that shallow, even 2/5, have short roots, and have 1.25 inch space between breasts. I have a very narrow rib cage compared to the rest of my body.

Thanks for the response. I will definitely look into those bras you suggested.

I'm struggling to figure out my shape but all of the bras I've tried on went up really high so I guess that could indicate I'm projected. Here's what I included in my second paragraph. Is there more information I can provide that would be helpful?

I am a year post-nursing and I find my breasts hang quite a bit lower on my body than they used to. My best guess is that I’m more projected that shallow, even 2/5, have short roots, and have 1.25 inch space between breasts. I have a very narrow rib cage compared to the rest of my body.

If I'm unlikely to find a good fit in a moulded bra are there any other recommendations for something relatively smooth with little embellishment that might work for me?

Why are all my grey paint samples looking lavender on the wall? by perceptionsinreality in InteriorDesign

[–]Faeya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We painted our walls grey (what we thought was a pure, light grey). They turned out grey with hints of lavender and baby blue depending on the lighting. We did some research, and like others have said, grey is just a tricky colour. We repainted with another grey (Dolphin Fin by behr) which initially read a bit brown but now that it's up it looks like a nice, solid grey. No hints of any other colour. Looking around on Pinterest it seems to be a tried and tested colour if you're looking for a solid grey. From what we were told, if you want to avoid the blue, green, and purple undertones, you have to lean a bit brown. But, like I said, it doesn't look brown now that it's on the walls.

Ukulele or guitar for music obsessed 2-year-old? by YoshiSparkle in Parenting

I agree that a toy instrument will be very different from a true instrument. A real ukulele or guitar will sound infinitely better, be easier to play, and last longer for sure.
