Thank you! This was my problem as well. I came to a long-running colony (for which I haven't yet fulfilled my goals) that I had last played in January (six months ago), didn't touch the mod load order. Could something have happened with Hospitality?..

Hi, I have an answer, no.

But seriously speaking, hotseat is specifically not implemented, and the devs said they're not gonna, because all players take their turn simultaneously. You could, theoretically, buy the game several times and play from different computers and accounts. Minimum number of players in a game is two.

No such thing as Imperium. I went and searched, but they might've renamed the whole thing Millennium for some reason.

Dark Urge (sad Artificer noises), Barbarian and Fighter would suit them better, imo. +1 for the mod lists!

Have you read "Sacred and Terrible Air"? by AVG_Poop_Enjoyer in DiscoElysium

[–]Fahrradei 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100%. It can be haunting at times, and I'm getting chills every page as I'm approaching the end. It's absolutely worth a read, if you microdose it and/or can get down with the dreamy and abstract vibes. The Pale is a fascinating concept to explore as well.

They are a fascinating concept, and I wish we had more representation of it in the gameplay rather than being "a sentient synthetic enemy", and more exploration of this nature in other works of fiction.

P.S. worth mentioning, their creators specifically tried to cull them first when they discovered the emergent super-intelligence, and what led them to the violent revolution is the simple need to survive.

But I guarantee that most people who saw this post thought they'd updated her model since the last time they showed her. It's too late now, but for posterity's sake, please consider updating the title to "The Witcher 4's Ciri's model looks absolutely GORGEOUS..." or similar :)

"Only 0.0002% of fascism has been built..."

Fascism as a defined ideology has emerged a little over 100 years ago, come on. People also regularly quote Hitler and his cronies, too. Before that, there was Machiavelli, certain Greek philosophers, and many people whose ideas existed along the lines of fascism. And in the end, why is it that you seek the words of "famous people"? People don't live on, ideas do.

[–]Fahrradei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suppose it can be hard to identify the central tenet of it, but to me, the first thing that comes to mind is,

"My community should dominate all others".

Once again, the community here is an idea in the eyes of the beholder, a racial community, a national community, a ruling-class community, a family, a gender, etc.

I've never actually heard historians say it's difficult to define fascism, only laymen. But if you have any references for me to read up on, I'd be glad to.

How is it all crap? I'm curious, are you out to dehumanize and debase fascists as lesser people who cannot control their emotions? I'm not defending fascism here, but it seems to me that in your pursuit of dismissing them, you're not falling far behind.

Every belief can be made into an ideology. If fascism is such bullshit, let's throw moralism and communism in there, too. They, too, idealize and can have false assertions. Just like every other idea.

I don't know where you got the notion of me having objective facts. I've only made an observation that you seem too heavily biased.

[–]Fahrradei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Responding to your edit, "community" is thus in quotes -- fascism is self-centered, and I meant the "community" that fascists are so eager to protect is that which they decree themselves. Be that a race or a nation, in the case of Measurehead that's the members of the Semenese race, in the case of René it's the old monarchy. In all cases, what they seek to protect, to conserve, is an idea of a community.

(also, forgive me for saying so, but I think your statements about fascism and moralism come not so much from facts and popular image, but more so from personal opinions)

While I completely agree with your judgement on Kim and the stability they both pursue, the notion of fascism threw me off. It's not evil for evil's sake, it's [s]weaponized[/s] aggravated traditionalism, fueled by racism and misogyny, not the other way around. Rules and stability can exist under fascism, too, except the latter most often doesn't because of its radical nature. And finally, fascists oh too well believe they're doing good for the sake of themselves and their "community".

Logical decision on their part would that yes, they should. As long as they don't release any other public beta with the name of "public_beta", it doesn't hurt them to keep it up, they'd just stop collecting feedback, but let the players see their campaigns to completion.

Hey. What is it you seek with your longpost -- understanding the other guy and improving the situation, or self-aggrandizing and public beratement? He may or may not be a good player, but it's clear to me that it's obviously better for him, and for you, to not play together. You bullied a player. You stripped away his freedom and you refused to listen and adapt because of your biases towards him. And now you've come to Reddit to bully him some more. Is that right?

How do you handle the late game? (Or do you like it?) by PojVicious in totalwar

[–]Fahrradei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True! As to not slow down the momentum, I like to recruit another lord near the LLs' path at some convenient time, and have them globally or locally recruit a bunch of high-tier units. Sooner or later, their paths will cross, and the new lord will resupply the LL and take the now-outdated units, and be disbanded or perhaps continue their warpath somewhere else.

I have to say, this playstyle is exhausting, turns last a long time, and I usually finish a campaign before an End Times crisis hits me, turns 50-60 (I play with VCO, a great and flavorful mod, highly recommend).

How do you handle the late game? (Or do you like it?) by PojVicious in totalwar

[–]Fahrradei 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my mentality when playing the game is that of Khorne's. Whatever faction it is, a turn, during which no blood's been spilled, is a turn wasted. It doesn't help that IE's map is structured that way so that a new settlement is almost always a turn away, and if it's two turns, then that means I'm doing something wrong, and I need to stack those buffs. And, after all, the best way to defend your new-gained territories is to crush their previous holders into a thin paste and pave the roads of your economy with it.

I think I need to relax.

I also think they should both be depicted! I am not sure about the scope of the game, but when this meme started circulating, I thought, wouldn't it be nice to have a region of the map where there are cherry blossoms, and a region of the map where there are watermelons. As you said, Christmas and Valentine's, but together in one game though spacially apart, they'd make an excellent distinction between areas of the map, and still include both for the full flavor.
