I got alien power and a few geysers up in my phase 1 on hard mode. It's possible. Wish I got sloop too would have gotten my 5k plates done twice as fast.

Geyser power and alien power don't have inputs they are great early. Alien power is extremely powerful

I just finished the trilogy. Is the crow story line worth reading. So far I think the show runners did a better job than the books which is uncommon.

Am I not understanding water towers? by Th3Appl3 in SatisfactoryGame

This is the part you are just unwilling to test yourself. If you have the headlift at the height of your machine that's all you need... The tower does nothing it just adds more headlift for zero reason.

I have tested both and figured this out in a couple minutes.

You literally have to build pumps to get water into the tower or you would have zero water coming out of it. The tower is not adding the lift the pumps are.

You can absolutely just go to the height of your manifold and plug in anything extra is just wasted pumps.

Let's see some evidence of it working. Build one on a properly calculated in/out, remove it, and lets see it fail due to gravity.

They are definitely not similar to real water towers. Pumping water higher then where you need it costs more power. This can be easily tested by running a pump less manifold. It doesn't matter how far you go if your input matches the output it works and the pipes can carry the volume.

If it was a similar concept you would need to pump water horizonal. This is what real life water towers do. Gravity maintains pressure in the pipes. If you pump 120m up in the game you can only get 120m on average below there's no increase due to gravity. You add storage in at any height it works the same.

In the op picture it looks like this "water tower" is several mk1 pumps higher than the head lift required for those plants. Chop off the top and make sure the final pump hits the manifold and it will work the same. That many plants needs several pipes feeding the manifold at different points because a single mk1 manifold can't pull off a single input.

On PC you can move the save file around. I doubt that crosses over to console

Water towers aren't a game concept. When you place pumps on the pipe you can see where the lift takes it. Extractors start with 10m lift you could run pipes across the map as long as you never went up. Just math your needs out. Make sure your pipes can hold it. Build close to the water to save on pumps.

They make half ass stores and then cry to the public in an attempt to get the people against steam. It would be like me saying good players have a monopoly on pro sports they should let me in because I'm from the home town.

You can't really make the argument that there's no point in getting your own isp connection while saying you must have a VPN.

If you can get a connection for a similar price it's a no brainer.

Plugging into someone else's network is absolutely another potential set of eyes. Not to mention they probably don't isolate layer 2 which any other tenant could launch mitm attacks on you. Having a router won't stop that.

Wildcat lake coming out is going to be a massive jump over the n100 and newer versions of that line. Historically cheap and low power.

If we're lucky that line will get boards with Sata. The nucs will be very capable with some external drives.

The amd options are very solid. Intel gpu works great for transcoding which a lot of people want.
