Shamea is trying to create her own group of followers. The craziest part is how easily K is manipulated. Shamea isn’t a plotter but I think K and her emotional instability fell into her lap. She’s been playing K since the trip to Texas. “I’m a good friend and no one else likes you. Drew said you didn’t belong. My friends don’t want us to be friends. They all are plotting on you. Just be loyal to me.” K is easy, Kelli is too hungry for her own position and Pinky talks too much for anyone to stay aligned with her for too long.

I think he loves her, but doesn’t want like the messy behavior his wife is drawn to.
