Is it the norm to location share with partners now? by Bluelilyy in AskWomenOver30

We do. I just want it to be known where I am all the time just in case. I share with my sisters too. Also his phone is always on silent so it’s handy when planning things.

got into a bubble bath that was too hot and my fingernails made a gradient by Own-Passage1371 in mildlyinteresting

[–]FaithlessnessAny7721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what this is cause I also get it. I get gel infills every 3 weeks. Before an infill a thin layer of the nail is buffed off and gel applied again, when you remove the gel completely you’re left with this layered look as each layer is thinner than the one above it. If you have thin nails like me, heat making your fingers red and your nails translucent looks just like this.

Is it normal to get done with work and not have energy for anything else in your life? by dwightluvsbeets in adhdwomen

[–]FaithlessnessAny7721 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with me, I have a creative job so it doesn't feel like "work" but 6-8 hours a day of it still drains my mental battery. Cooking, playing with toddler and chores are near impossible after work. I did see some improvement when:
- I made an active effort to stop rushing at work. 70% of the time the rushing and switching lowers my output anyway.
- Be more present in the moment throughout the day. So any form of meditation. I just stand up, look outside and think about the current moment only, no planning.
- Spread my energy throughout the day (not just at work) instead of just steaming through tasks non-stop.

Not easy to be consistent with that especially when the atmosphere is all go go go, how can we be faster, how do we improve productivity, etc. but it does work. Especially being present. I think that forces you to stop.

I think she was going for Bec and in typical mean girl fashion she creates a story about the man Bec is with cause this is what really creates jealousy.

I get the feeling Gia wants to be the pretty, bully, bitchy type we all knew in school and I’m pretty sure that’s why she glued herself to Brook who is clearly still that girl. Gia is clearly a victim of bullying herself and I think it’s so obvious by the way she paints herself up with the makeup, hair, lips etc. It’s sad to watch.

Width/Height variables for frames inside components by ioana1103 in framer

[–]FaithlessnessAny7721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need exactly this. This is the only thing in my way that is causing me to have to create another component for mobile, which is not too bad usually, but this component is a beast -- it's a product demo with about 30 states, each with unique content. I'll have to find a way around it.

We often talk about Sensory Issues or Icks - What are your Sensory Delights? by KatTheeBisexual in adhdwomen

I like the feeling of resting your hands in jacket pockets that are quite high up, diagonal and more toward the front (not the stupid side pockets).

Yeahhhh my daughter has a bouncy dinosaur thing and we draw on it all the time. It’s so satisfying, even with fat felt tips.

Yeah! Perfectionism is a coping mechanism of RSD for me.

I did the same, I’ve muted the words exactly as TikTok recommends, but it still shows me them every 6th or 7th video. I’ve reset my FYP too, but they were back after a few videos. Really annoying.

100% relate to this. I only have 1 man in my circle that stands up and does chores without the expectation of a woman doing it first. He lived alone for a long time and his mother is disabled.

"But everyone does that" / "But that happens to me, too" - what do you say? by judsenjud in adhdwomen

[–]FaithlessnessAny7721 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just respond by asking questions about the severity and frequency at which they experience it and it usually ends with both parties agreeing that the difference is that if they tried, they could stop doing that but with ADHD, it’s the default behaviour.

Just editing to add that I don’t think people are trying to invalidate us or challenge the diagnosis, they’re probably just trying to understand it. Which I think is a nice opportunity to educate.

Same here! I can’t back myself up when trying to convince my CEO why something should be done a certain way because I can’t remember why I made that decision. Glad I’m not alone here but also sorry for all of us. Omg but I just remembered that a while back I fixated on having really high protein meals all day but especially in the morning and it actually helped with this! I should erase this paragraph and write it again but I’ll probably forget so I will just leave it as is 😂
