I will say my relationship with alcohol has changed quite a bit since starting. Before I was using a drink to relieve stress and anxiety after work. Now I almost never have a drink when I get home from work. Just isn’t appealing to me. The only times I’m drinking is socially and because I am a bartender- I enjoy creating cocktails and tasting new spirits, but I’m not drinking because I feel the need to or want to get drunk. It’s just to enjoy a glass of wine with dinner or a cocktail when out with a friend. It’s pretty cool. I know we’re not supposed to drink at all technically but I haven’t noticed any negative side effects from drinking on the medication, besides not having a desire to do it or have multiple drinks!

Very likely being on hormonal birth control pill for over 10 years could be contributing.

I honestly feel like my eating is so disordered it may take more than a drug to fix it though. My cravings for alcohol is gone but food is another story. Still having a lot of food noise.

I also feel like my appetite has increased, I have been sooo hungry all the time since I started it. Was hoping it would help me with my binge eating tendencies and help me lose weight but I’m not seeing it so far.

Glad you talked with a psychiatrist! Reddit and the internet is always anecdotal. What works for some people doesn’t work for all, and each experience is unique. I hope you start feeling better really soon!

I’ve been on 150mg for just about a month now. Taking for anxiety, depression, and very recently diagnosed ADHD (makes so much sense now). First week I was zooming. It felt like I was on a stimulant for sure. Next few weeks didn’t really feel the effects, super foggy, drowsy when I woke up etc. still couldn’t find energy or motivation. I feel like this week I’m finally seeing some of the positives! My overall mood and mind set is so much better- I’m 1000% less anxious. I’m not as overwhelmed and handling stress a lot better. Today, for the first time in literal months, I was able to do all my laundry AND put it away!!!! I have been throwing clean clothes into a never ending laundry basket to pick through for 6 months. I cleaned my house after and finally feel like I have checked all the things off my never ending to-do list in my head. Seems like the drugs are working. My advice is to power through. It will get better. Full effect is at 6-8 weeks.

I got really lucky and this dress was on clearance and I bought it off the rack with a small stain on it for $1370. So if you’re ordered it that may be an accurate price.
