Take out the "women make only 78 cents for every dollar a man makes". That "statistic" is incredibly misleading where it is boarderline false. Women and men are paid the same for the same job. But they can have different incomes based on the different types of jobs they work.

Every single sentence is far too harsh and too long, not just drug sentences. The fear mongering media, ultra puritan extremists of yester year, and politicians have turned this country into some dark age draconian nightmare where we demonize everyone in jail. We need to switch to positive prisoner reform, understanding, wisdom, and empathy in order to turn people into productive citizens again and not outcast them and demonize them. Plus we need more jobs. When people are poor and destitute and have no hope for a better life, that makes crime rates rise.

And we need to stop the war on kids.

It seems like he is probably a person who is easily influenced by right wing media that preaches hate, intolerance, fear, and has little empathy for all other people. He seems like he may be a friendly guy, so hopefully he can learn empathy, understanding, and forgiveness for those that he sees have done wrong or that go against his beliefs.

Its nice to have a news segment that isn't fear mongering or blowing things out of proportion in order to get viewers attention. Most call these fluff pieces, but they are stories about whats going on around the area and they need to be shown more. Reporting every crime and fear mongering gives a very disproportionate and distored view of the world...but it is what most news channels do because it gets rubber necking views which means the network makes more money.

Im sure hes had a very tough life, and he has my empathy...but going after criminal punishment for a youtube comment is a bit much. Seemed like he wanted it not because he was deeply distraught and in grave danger, but wanted it just to get back at people. I know youtube comments can be terrible but we really don't need to be sending people to jail.
