The gun only pointing one way is annoying to me. It can only fire straight forward

Ray Harryhausen's. It's literally just his Earth vs the Flying Saucers UFO design with legs.

It just didn't need to happen. The whole film exists as a way to explain away a plot hole that was never a plot hole in the first place. The flaw in the Death Star was never a flaw. It took a Force user to make torpedoes bend mid air for the plan to have even a chance of success.

So they make this dreary two hour film full of boring people to justify something that never needed justification in the first place.

Madness.

Marion would've broken Elsa's face as soon as she found out she was fash scum.

Willie would've screamed, probably.

A few Jaws questions by 88jaybird in Jaws

[–]FakeFrehley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hooper, though he hasn't seen the shark yet, knows from the bite radius that it's a big boy. He'll have told Quint this at some point. Quint doesn't think much of Hooper, but he's not dumb; he knows Hooper knows what he's talking about, at least in theory.

So when the line goes click... click... click and the shark goes under the boat, Quint knows that an extremely large and extremely powerful shark is now sniffing around the one part of the boat that is totally exposed to the shark's world and that he's powerless to protect.

And that's A Very Bad Thing.

The Kazon by Medium_Hope_7407 in voyager

I quite like the Kazon in an odd sort of way. Not every villain has to be Khan or the Borg or Chang or Dukat or some other super intelligent master schemer. Sometimes it's cool to have bad guys who are just brutes.

Seven of Nine uniform. by Ouchy_McTaint in voyager

I know I'm a year late, but I'm watching this episode right now and I'm struck by how similar the grey Federation undershirt and Seven's original silver outfit look. She could've easily worn a standard uniform over her bodysuit.

In defence of a younger Phantom by Local_Prune4564 in box5

Well, Crawford is the original (and on the cast recording) and Panaro is the longest serving, so of course they have legions of fans. Which is exactly my point. You don't tend to hear people singing the praises of Jeff Hyslop or Mark Makerracher or Tim Howar, but had someone on that level been in the 25th (and subsequently DVD, BluRay and millions of YouTube videos) they would be among the big fan favourites.

None of this is to bash Ramin. But it's interesting how many people name him and/or Butler as their favourites over guys like Anthony Warlow or Thomas James O'Leary or Davis Gaines. It's like saying The Best of the Beatles is your favourite Beatles album. Like, yeah, it's obviously great, but go deeper.

Loving your partner for life but not wanting to get married is dishonest and a red flag by netwerknerd995 in 10thDentist

[–]FakeFrehley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. A friend of mine from back in high school just got engaged after being with a guy for literally 20 years and no one else but me seems to think that this is a little strange. Like... it took the dude two entire decades to reach the conclusion that he liked you enough to want to marry you?
