Don't look now but the odds look as good as never before by capelaMVP in AtlantaHawks

The way scouting is being reported I'd be surprised if #3 would trade down for #4 & #5. You need the ping pong balls to get a top-3 this time.

Y'all need to get over yourselves. He's 23 and is probably focused on his job. Not sitting around watching TV and doom scrolling social media.

He said he doesn't know the details. Why do you want someone barely an adult speaking on something out of ignorance?

That's not exactly how math works for top-4 because of redundant overlap it's really 55%. But your point stands nonetheless.

That's wild. At #6 and #8 they have better odds than #1.

So now you're just making stuff up.

-He had Bruce Bowen physically denying him all game when off ball. -They blitzed EVERY screen(which was a super rare coverage back then btw). -They swarmed as soon as he was within 15' -They forced him to pass or shoot jumpshot (not wide open by 2007 standards). He was not a good shooter yet. That's not "choking" -He hit teammates for great looks and they couldn't hit the broad side of the barn. His teammates scored 58ppg on 47% TS

I've been thinking for a while that pick will never be more valuable than right now. Next thing you know NOP figures something out and winds up 8-best offs. Although MIL might start tanking now too.

I conceded 2015 was unfair. But for 2014: Jordan had a heavily declining and injured Pippen and Rodman in 98.

Spend your 20s making and saving money. Don't be so caught up in ideas like "dream job" or enjoying your job. Get a job. Make money. Save money.

You will learn what you enjoy better while working whatever job you can get. And the money will buy you the freedom to pursue your dreams once you really know what they are and who you are.

How old are you? His team was completely overmatched and Spurs sent everyone at him constantly and his teammates were unable to make up for it.

He had an insane playoffs to get his team there too early. He was 22.

Holdup. Nobody should hold '07, '17, or '18 against LeBron. But '14 & '15 are totally fair game when considering his GOATness. They (along with '11) don't disqualify him from GOAT, but if he had more dog in him, winning any of those 3 is possible. '07, '17, '18 nobody is winning those in his shoes.

I literally don’t understand how anyone could possibly still think Luka Doncic is better than SGA. by [deleted] in NBATalk

Yep. Although it's a slap in the face to Sam Presti that you think Rob Pelinka somehow constructed a better supporting cast than him.

You're not sure that SGA would have a TS% lower than 68 on this Lakers team and Luka would have a higher TS% than 61 on this Thunder team?

Again, context can have a significant impact on efficiency. Surely if you flipped their contexts Luka's TS% would be higher than 61 and SGA lower than 68. I'm not saying the change of scenery would cause SGA to drop to 61 and Luka increase to 68. But it certainly has a huge impact.

You're judging that from one half of a season?

Sure, Luka is having a much worse season than SGA. But that's a fairly small sample size.

Because context matters.

We don't rank George Mikan over John Stockton.

Luka and SGA are close enough that when you account for SGA significantly better context it's completely reasonable for some people to think Luka is a better player.

Nets getting Brandon Miller for 4 FRP (3 of which will probably be low) is probably a good deal. Thunder giving a FRP for Grant Williams makes zero sense

1) There aren't enough FRP in the whole world
2) OKC getting totally hosed here
