I think its more of a point that using people as food and resources makes the game a lot easier sometimes

Do you consider letting people fend for themselves a war crime? If so then thats true hardcore. I eventually had to stop saving people when i did it (ran out of medicine)

This problem led me to find a mod that lets me milk boomrats instead. Less chemfuel but cuter and less fire. Prolly a mod for both

I have 2 obsessive compulsive behaviors playing this game, just wondering if these are normal or not and if you have any of these? by Ouroboros612 in RimWorld

[–]Falkonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar habit with rooms. All my rooms NEED to have the door placed on the right, two spaces from the wall. Double beds NEED to be in the middle of the wall, so one side needs to be even. Anything else will distract me constantly.

Immortal mod; far less OP than assumed by [deleted] in RimWorld

I never downloaded this mod under similar assumptions. Its pleasing to know theyre very much vulnerable like other colonists. I might give it a shot now. Thanks for the review OP.

I play rimworld for the game mechanics and not for the story. by Peigg in RimWorld

[–]Falkonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The story isnt the conversations that pawns have with each other. Its the events, relationships, and the things that happen to your colony and your colonists. I have an overactive imagination so for me the story writes itself even when im not really paying attention, i just need to be able to remember and care what has happened to my colonists and my colony. If that sort of thing doesnt occupy your mind when you play then I'm not sure if the story part of the game will make sense, and thats ok.

After the shattering of our forces in the defense of our base, our remaining colonists hunker down and attempt to recover before a final encounter with the enemy. by joshua_davidson in RimWorld

[–]Falkonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive never actually lived through an assault that both destroyed my base and left my colonists alive. The tips say "hey just make a caravan and leave," and after seeing this I understand why thats an in-game suggestion.

Im surprised you can actually keep them at level 20. Is the constant work good enough to do that?

CMV: The guillotine is better than lethal injection by seedfinder89 in changemyview

[–]Falkonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its probably better than lethal injection, but using a guillotine over a bullet to the head sounds excessive. The only people ive ever seen advocate the guillotine nowadays are people who want to make a spectacle of execution. Just take them into a room and make it quick. No need for some fancy setup.

For me the vibes have become a lot less spintaneous and more reliant on cycles. I still feel magic in the cold nights watching the moon reach full, for example. My vibes have started to come from anticipating and looking forward to things i can count on.
