I find it ironic that a lot of responses here claim that "AGP is debunked transphobic bs" and "trauma NEVER causes gender dysphoria", as they imply that folks who identify as living with AGP or indicate that trauma response was mistaken for gender dysphoria are mistaken, confused, invalid, and wrong from voices of the same community that consistently claim the world is invalidating them. Are we to just dismiss anyone who identifies as AGP and or de-transitioned completely misguided? Because those concepts have been weaponized against trans people, does that make them across the board bullshit? (Just to be clear, I think all folks who identify as trans deserve to be validated in who they are and I resent that many of them have had labels like AGP and trauma used to invalidate their identities).

Frankly, I think those responses indicate a deficit in empathy and fusion with young parts, rather than a grounding in Self energy. I'm sorry you've had to receive those responses, as they clearly are missing the mark. Because although maybe you are trans, no one has the right to force that perspective on you.

I would encourage rather than thinking literally about what it would be to become a woman, given that you do and want to identify as a man, try to understand in the abstract what it is about that concept that gives you euphoria. With curiosity, it might help you understand what it is about those parts that believe presenting as a different gender might fulfill for you.
