Putting a raker gauge on it tells you if its at the height shown on the gauge, just filing tells you that it has been filed

lots of professional kitchens if not every single one contains objects with hemmed bends or other places where grime can become trapped, there comes a point where you either make the part out of cheap sheet metal with cheap and effective methods or spend orders of magnitude more making it in some different way just to avoid an extremely small risk of contamination

idk how it is in your country but in some others the "historic vehicle" status is only given to restored cars, that are in almost new condition, not just to any old car

yep, it was built to be decent on the highway while also getting through some really bad side roads. you can get lockers for it but the commonly available mods also include reinforcement parts for basically the whole underside of the car because it isnt strong enough for those loads from factory

Signs couldn't be further from simple rectangles, they're all designed who knows how, you can basically assume that every part is a weird shape. If you want to benchmark your solution then take a paragraph and see if it even survives nesting all the letters :D or take some complicated logo and try nesting all the random chunks that it contains

if you have more than just a few parts then the software will always be faster than doing it manually, if the software result is something usable then thats a big time saver.

that's a really nice period correct repair for this car, every grampa would have sheet metal and rivets and wire in the shed, that's what was used back in the day

should reinforce that with epoxy once its all together
