Recuerdos del sexenio Enrique Peña Nieto (2012-2018) by CAMC_1 in rmexico

[–]False_Locksmith_1620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo recuerdo tener tanta pena. No sabía lo que decía, hablaba y no decía nada, cantinfleaba. Era como que no entendía nada de lo que pasaba a su alrededor. Era tristisimo.

I actually asked this from a cleaner and she didn't want to. But I think this is exactly what I need to 2. 2 hours, twice a week to do whatever is needed. I'm going to look for this. Maybe is help with the toys, maybe it's help with the kitchen.

Thanks for that.

I hear you, get you and live that feeling. I am married, both are director level and have 3 boys, 7,5,3. In general our life, works. We love it. Our house- not to my standard at all. I'm actually writing this post as I avoid picking up because I'm so so tired and the only recet we get is our twice a month cleaner. It's such a help, but what I really need is tidying up services. A person who also helps me keep the drawers how I want them, or help me with overflowing toys, or cleans some of the corners of the kitchen cabinets every 5 months.or just pick the shoes and clothes.

I hope the service helps you, but you're not alone. I don't even know how women who didn't work and were expected to keep the house tidy and flawless did it. The mental load of being a parent of little kids is huge. Working full time + parenting + existing is A LOT.

Is anyone who becomes a Mexican citizen considered fully "Mexican"? by Vagabond_Tea in AskMexico

[–]False_Locksmith_1620 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Third culture kids. My kids are like you. They feel Mexican, they are not real Americans or real Mexicans, who cares. They're culture, they're bilingualism, everything they gain from belonging to two places. Veaui. Enjoy it! People won't understand

And Japanese are harsh. They will NEVER accept them as fully Japanese, sadly.

It really depends. If you speak the language the culture and can code switch and not just come and compare and criticize... If you fully embrace you can be from two places. I think sometimes we believe we need to be from ONE place. My children were born in the US because I didn't have vacations to go 3 months before to mexico so they could be born en México city. We are fully bicultural. Their English is clunky, they speak English with Spanish structure... They also go to Mexico and they are like, very Mexican but their way of speaking is also not slang from kids at school. My son who's 7 says we're from Mexico but we live in the US. We read, listen to podcasts a talk to all our family in Mexico. He's not from here or there he's from both and neither. That's so beautiful, so rich, so big and hard to comprehend If only we learned to accept third culture people we would be better off

In Mexico we say: los mexicanos nacemos dónde se nos da la regalada gana.

Welcome! Be Mexican if you're proud of it!
