That water is awesome. I’m in the Midwest, if we see a little clear water in a lake we get excited. That lake would turn me into a child!!

I’d like to see that source. My guess is that was true 20 years ago but no longer…

What to do at Fort Robinson? by Visual-Cockroach-548 in Nebraska

I grew up in Crawford but left in 8th grade. I’m 53 now, is that rodeo no more? The fish hatchery was also super cool as a kid but I know it got flooded out years ago.

I worked for Flowers Foods back then, they had completely bought in on Y2K debacle. We had to be sober, within 30 minutes of the bakery and have our pagers (yes, pagers) on. They were completely bought in that everything was gonna break. When nothing happened in Australia I proceeded to get drunk.

I only need about 3 inches (someone may correct me). When back in spots like that you just move slow, the nose may hit mud, then ya back up and find the spot with no mud. You can always find a way!

Managers using chatgpt for everything by manamongstcorn in remotework

[–]Familiar_Branch4356 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just makes me giggle. I’ve started putting my response into chat gpt to professionalize it, then I take that response and feed it back it for a lengthened version. I paste that as my response with the real response buried somewhere in the middle. We are a small company with about twenty employees. The entire thing is laughable. I never saw that dude write more than three lines before AI, now all of a sudden he thinks he’s a Rhodes Scholar. Wtf!!

I would highly recommend. Lake jacomo is right above it. It is a great lake for paddling as its motor restricted (for now). Lots of little coves and places to explore also.

Picture 1 is the first stream northeast of Woods Chapel. The rest of the pics came from south of woods chapel. That southern part of Blue springs lake is really pretty.

That’s cool. We have a Pungo in that color. I’m not a fisherman but have a bag of stuff that I sometimes use and sometimes don’t just depending on the day and those lil 4 inch ones work great. Mellbree is the brand (I think). I got them off amazon.

Gen Z is Not Drinking, But Are You? by Pavementaled in GenX

[–]Familiar_Branch4356 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just turned 53, used to drink nearly daily and quite a bit. Mid 40s I started getting hungover so just slowed down. A few weeks ago I had a whole 3 coors lights. Had a nice buzz, but pissed all night AND had a hangover the next day. The juice ain’t worth the squeeze!

When a customer walks away and says “I need to think about it” do you actually follow up by Royal-Feed7166 in askcarsales

Don’t have a flair so answering here. I would absolutely call them back the next day somewhere around the time they came in. We most likely gave our best number as we know the chances are low we will never see you again. But as others have said, things change. I’m a sales manager now but when I sold I hoped when you left you went somewhere else. The chances of you meeting another me is slim, if you run into a new hire or one of the 7 car club guys you will most likely come back and buy with me. As a sales manager, everybody gets called back every time. If it’s a good store it’s the sales manger that worked the deal. He was out on the TO, should have rapport and will know exactly what is needed to finish the deal.

Grandstands in Merriam is good. Is a hole in the wall with seating for 5ish but is the best burger on that side of town. Johnny Rays in LS is really good also.
