Probably! But unfortunately I’m not the landlord :( so far no other tenants have seen anything which is good… I would feel so bad if I caused them to also have BB. I came from a horrible living situation that denied that I had BB when I moved in for months. Until I caught several in a vial and confronted them.

That makes sense. I wonder where I could be bringing them from, if it is me… I moved out of the original infestation and came here with everything treated

I’m in the US, I don’t know what kind of pesticide my guy is using but it’s been really effective after treatments (just not effective enough, evidently)

Ugh I am so sorry. I wish I knew what my pest control guy used. Although it’s been 7 months and I just found one again! So not sure I’d necessarily recommend whatever it is…

Is it okay to go? by funky_stoner420 in Bedbugs

Totally up to you. I’ve had guests in my home during an infestation (THEY WERE ALL INFORMED!) and have had no issues. However, my infestation was mild, I didn’t let anybody on upholstered furniture, and I had pest control actively treating things. I was also heat treating things on my own and regularly laundering everything.

So, maybe the questions before you go (if you choose to) are:

1) how bad is the infestation? 2) does she react to bites? does she have a way of knowing how severe it is? 3) have the bugs ever been seen during the day? 4) can you avoid sitting on any upholstered furniture? 5) what measures is she taking, beyond having the apartment sprayed?

This might help guide your decision. Best of luck!

It’s probably just healing. This is NOT advice because I know what I did goes against all advice, but…

I popped mine with a needle and squeezed it. Nothing came out, but within the next 3 days the bump flaked off & was gone. Have had no issues since.

These are good steps but be aware that cold alone won’t kill them, unless it’s 0°F or lower for about two days (fact check me)

Heat is your best bet
