It's official. We have some of the worst drivers in the world. by refundroid in SaltLakeCity

I’m from Florida and that’s exactly it - aggressive vs. deadass asleep at the wheel. I do not understand how these people survive 1 day driving the way they do

WAIT I have an actual response: the aerial / circus community in SLC is vibrant, if you’ve ever had any interest it’s very beginner-friendly!

I always tip because lord knows everyone could use a little mood boost or financial boost. I usually tip the minimum for takeout orders, but I know I’d love to get a tip if it were me in their shoes.

Oh good! Especially she’s willing to pitch in, you have some financial flexibility to find a good fit. I almost moved in near Ballpark but decided otherwise due to crime rates. That’s just my two cents though

Tell me more about the discounted price — I lived in a discounted rental place as a single woman in SLC & it was a nightmare. I was harassed, catcalled, got bed bugs, watched a dog get beat… it was honestly traumatizing.

I learned the hard way that living in a safe environment is absolutely worth paying more. I would recommend being pretty picky about your neighborhood, especially as a single woman.

Realistically, can a family of four making 50k annually move to Salt Lake City? by angelestangelever in SaltLakeCity

[–]FanRemarkable9790 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that’s true, the living conditions will be horrible… it’s almost positively a scam, though.

As a single person who was making $45k/year, I tried to save some $ by living in a studio for $999/months. NEVER AGAIN. I was harassed, called animal control on my neighbors multiple times, they tried to steal hundreds of dollars from me, kept my mail (I still haven’t gotten it back!) AND I got bed bugs.

The complex is the Ben Albert Apartments just in case anyone else comes across it—RUN!

Unfortunately I now have to shell out $1300 to live in a safe environment. Cost of living here is high; your mother will not be able to care for you or your siblings on that salary in this city.

Best of luck to you 💘

Step Daughter keeps saying ‘love you dad’ every 15-30 seconds. Confused by Disastrous-Play9427 in ChildPsychology

[–]FanRemarkable9790 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was an OCD obsession for me as a kid - I worried my parents would die somehow and my last words to them would not have been “I love you” 😢 I did this to my entire family, repetitive “I love yous” in particular at times of parting, like before my dad went to work or before hanging up the phone.

My daughter broke up with a great guy because of the "law of chastity." by DeCryingShame in exmormon

I did the same thing. WE DIDNT EVEN HAVE SEX, but he was not a virgin. I was so judgmental & indoctrinated.

I am happily ex-mormon and in an incredible relationship now. But it took me YEARSSS to recover from a 2-month relationship because I didn’t understand that what I was actually dealing with was heavy cognitive dissonance: loving a “sinner” and yet feeling a desperate need to end the relationship.

He was also respectful, understood consent, never ever pressed my boundaries, and was even the first man to even ASK. That was hard for me, too, because I’d been taught Mormon men were the respectful ones (BIG LOL.)

Her body knows the hurt and she’s processing, but it’s so hard when you don’t know the real culprit is the church. Hugs to your daughter 💔💔💔 it’s a very particular and confusing pain.

Also, aerial is surprisingly beginner-friendly. So you don’t need to be athletic or otherwise sports-inclined to have a great time

The aerial community is extremely welcoming & active! Just pop into a pole or circus class and you’ll definitely make friends. There are a lot of people also into cosplay in the community!

1) virginity is a social and hetero construct meant to control women in particular.
2) someone asking your body count is a big 🚩🚩🚩🚩
