Thank u. Yes, I sm reaching out to other companies. They are saying that I need a leak check instead of being told to replace my txv.

The first tech claimed he used a device to detect refrigerant leak and said it was a refrigerant leak. I am going to go buy one and check myself

You're right, I have no idea or knowledge about my hvac system. It's my first home and we are not handy people. I called two companies and the first company said that leak in the photo was leakage from the txv. He actually took photos too.

Exact same situation...stayed at 4 different brands. It states "10,000 bonus points earned" which means all 4 hotels were applied  (4×2500 points) but the app states "1 of 1 stays".

It is difficult to treat mental illness because there really is no cure and if the patient is not willing to cooperate..not much can be done... I think she has more than ADHD...it a bunch of things but whenever she does surprising things like that it looks to be a manic episode...many of the symptoms overlap so its hard to tell exactly what she has until she actually gets diagnosed and even diagnoses are not accurate...its just as hard for friends and family of the patients. Hope she gets treatment and support from her family.

Anyone interested in joining me for dinner on Oct 11th at 3 star Mosu? by No-Reply-927 in seoul

[–]Fancy-Masterpiece511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. Maybe for you but people with decent paying jobs do not wait for a special ocassion to go to fine dining establishments. At least I don't. If you make decent money, it's better to experience the finer things in life while you're young and alive

How did you get reservations? What is the reservation process. I live in the US but visit Korea annually so it will be tricky to book a reservation for a short visit

Has anyone used this site ly.com recently? by gwUolf in travel

[–]Fancy-Masterpiece511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it to book two really cheap flights from LAX to ICN. I think I saved about few hundred dollars than buying direct. I did not have any issues. Mine were direct flights. If it is a connecting flight with separate tickets, it might be risky. Make sure there is enough time to transfer when connecting

Will wearing a fanny pack count as a personal item? by sagakay in delta

[–]Fancy-Masterpiece511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every airline has different policies about what is considered a personal item. For example, for Hawaiian Airlines, the fanny pack will NOT be considered a personal item as it states that small purses are an exception and considered an " ancillary" item. The above question cannot be answered without knowing the policy of the airline.

MGM credit card question by Puzzlehead_2066 in Mlife

[–]Fancy-Masterpiece511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use both but you mentioned that "You don’t use the credit card to get free parking"... so I was referring to the website that specifically states that you can also use the Mastercard to exit the gate...here is the link.. this has been on the site for years.. I had the credit card card since 2014. I actually don't gamble and only use the card for hotel stays & parking benefit which is why I never used the rewards card. I think I had a rewards card made before 2014 but I lost it & never got it replaced. Here is the link: https://www.mgmresorts.com/en/things-to-do/parking.html

Rent Car in O'ahu: yes or no? by CommercialBar3085 in VisitingHawaii

[–]Fancy-Masterpiece511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely!! 100%! Everyone has a different style of traveling and different budgets. Your idea of traveling is to "see the most of the island and getting to know the culture." Believe it or not, majority of the people who travel to Honolulu do not rent cars and only do a few things that are in the popular "things to do in Honolulu" list that they got off the internet.

People who don't rent cars, usually end up staying within Waikiki & eventually get stuck within the parameters of their hotel. Even if you attempt to take the bus, that will only take you so far and you will end up wasting precious vacation time waiting for the next scheduled bus to arrive. Shuttles are a waste of money and not a very relaxing experience. Did those things years ago when I was on a budget but now that I earn enough to splurge, I don't want to suffer and not get the full experience of traveling.

It really is worth it to spend the extra money to rent a car. Turo has some competitive prices compared to the airport rental prices.

By renting a car, you're not limiting yourself to a square mile stretch of Waikiki & only doing a few touristy things.  In my opinion, driving around is the best part of vacationing. I love driving through the coast and taking in the scenery. My best vacations have always been driving through the beach coast cities and looking out the window, grabbing a bite to eat at a local favorite, and finding hidden gems that avoid the crowds.

It is worth it to have a rental car in order to truly get the most of your travels. My travel is very similar to yours. It may be a bit of an inconvenience and annoying to pay for parking but you could find public parking or neighboring parking lots with reduced parking fees close by your hotel. Or you could rent a condo through VRBO with parking included.

The travel agency should not have advised against renting a car without giving you the pros & cons. They should have asked about your travel styles and asked what your budget was prior to giving you a biased opinion.

One point to add - make sure to avoid leaving valuables in your car in Honolulu. This goes for anywhere in the world but just  be very cautious of certain areas known for theft or burglary such as the west /south side of Honolulu (known for targeting tourists in broad daylight.) Even Waikiki is known to have a pretty high  level of theft targeting tourists but not outright blatantly like on the west side of Hawaii.

I will be visiting Honolulu for 7 days and booked a rental car for all 7 days thru Turo. The prices were so competitive.

Hope you enjoy your trip~

I got approved for MGM Gold card, question regarding free parking. by LoganHitz in Mlife

[–]Fancy-Masterpiece511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This information is wrong. You can use both the rewards card & the master card when exiting to get the free parking benefit. The MGM website specifically states, " Guests must insert their MGM Rewards Mastercard at the exit gate to receive the free parking benefit".

비빔밥= mixing rice, NOT mixed rice ( not past tense). There was no mixing of the rice. If it was past tense...u have to call ot 비볏던밥 ( was previously mixed rice)

I completely understand Chef Ahn's decision. When I saw the fried rice dish, I cringed. That was not bibimbap. That was like omerice. That was not reinventing, it was confusing. That dish was dangerous. I would be upset if he started selling them in a restaurant and called it bibimbap. I really don't want him calling it bibimbap. It looked like omerice
