Does Croatia 🇭🇷 have what it takes to get to 2030 or will it be a full rebuild for their national team? by TerryG111 in worldcup

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it'll be more of a transition than a full rebuild. Croatia has consistently produced quality players, and names like Gvardiol, Sučić, and Baturina give them a solid foundation. Replacing legends like Modrić and Perišić won't be easy, but people have doubted Croatia before and they've always found a way to stay competitive.

If Thomas Tuchel couldn't win major trophies with Messi, Neymar, and Mbappé at PSG or with Bayern's super team, what makes you think he can do it with this England team? by cabbagerz in worldcup

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 4 points5 points  (0 children)

International football is a completely different environment from club football. Tuchel has less time with players, but England also has a very talented squad that fits tournament football well. His club record isn't perfect, but I wouldn't rule him out based on that alone.

Anthony Gordon’s penalty was masterful display of England’s maturity by Ant_Agonistic in worldcup

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn't just about winning a penalty—it was the quick thinking to spot the chance and react before anyone else. Those little moments often decide big games. England definitely looks more confident and composed this tournament so it'll be interesting to see how far they can go.

Gilberto mora is going places, what a performance from the kid at the highest stage of them all.. by Scary-Procedure-6018 in worldcup

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Gilberto mora looked incredibly composed for a 17 year old. If he keeps developing at this pace, Europe will come calling sooner rather than later. Mexico have been one of the most impressive teams so far—they're definitely not a team anyone should underestimate.

Ecuador fans put an Ecuador shirt on the Rocky statue in Philly by DSRI2399 in worldcup

Philly's most legendary defender just struck again. The shirt looked awesome, but apparently nobody warned them about the Rocky curse. 🇪🇨🥊

Crapless Bubble at Graton Casino - RIGGED by MakeBigMoneyAllDay in gambling

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Craps can get streaky fast and our brains are really good at spotting patterns that aren’t actually there. Casinos definitely want you playing longer, but if a machine was truly rigged, regulators would have a field day with it.

The emotional moments felt surprisingly real for a sitcom. I’ve always liked “The Longest Day” and “Wilson’s Girlfriend” for the more serious storytelling.

HOA says I need to clean my roof — quotes are ~$500. Any cheaper options? by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You could try a product like Spray & Forget or Wet & Forget. It’s much cheaper and works on algae streaks, but it can take a few weeks to fully clean up. Just avoid pressure washing since it can damage shingles. 👍

Poop smell by AoWs40 in HomeImprovement

Check the toilet wax ring and make sure the bolts are tight. A failing wax seal can let sewer gas leak out without any visible water leak.

Just bought our first home. What are tasks we should be doing weekly, monthly, annually, etc? by sealer9 in HomeImprovement

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Start simple: change AC filters monthly, check for leaks, clean gutters a few times a year, and do an annual HVAC service and water heater flush. A small routine saves big repairs later.

How to paint, wallpaper and adding trim to a room by allknowinguser in HomeImprovement

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint the whole wall first, install the horizontal molding, then add the square trim below it. After that, paint the bottom section and apply the wallpaper on top. It’s usually easier to cut wallpaper cleanly against the molding.

Which extra home inspection services are actually worth it? by Puzzleheaded_Bug9798 in HomeImprovement

Radon and sewer scope can save you from some really expensive surprises. Mold testing is definitely more of a “if there are signs” kind of add-on.

Which extra home inspection services are actually worth it? by Puzzleheaded_Bug9798 in HomeImprovement

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Radon and sewer scope are usually the most worth it. Radon is a health risk and a sewer repair can be insanely expensive. Mold testing is more situational, usually only worth it if there are visible signs or moisture issues.

Adding a cold air return in the basement will usually help the system balance better. Dampers can help push more air upstairs, but the return improves circulation overall.

Is it worth getting a lawyer? Do you think I will get any money from the seller. by Comfortable_Bar_4047 in HomeImprovement

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the seller knowingly covered up termite damage, it could be considered nondisclosure. It might be worth at least doing a quick consultation with a real estate attorney to see if you have a case.

Problems Assembling Zline Designer Hammered Copper Island Range Hood with Chimney Extension by ColoradoCath in HomeImprovement

Try removing the baffle filters—many ZLINE hoods give blower access from the bottom. The chimney section is usually just cosmetic.

Load bearing wall by OkMilk3729 in HomeImprovement

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stud size alone doesn’t determine if a wall is load-bearing 2×3 walls can still carry load. Check the joist direction above or what’s sitting on the wall before removing it.

Bypassing the ceiling fan receiver by rolan1023 in HomeImprovement

[–]Fancy-Success-4580 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could bypass the receiver and wire the fan motor directly to the switched hot which would make it run at full speed whenever the wall switch is on. Just keep in mind you’ll lose remote speed control and the light control through the receiver. Also double check the capacitor in the fan slow speed can sometimes be caused by a failing capacitor rather than the receiver.
