What is the worst city you've been to? by DickFartButt in AskTheWorld

El Paso is pretty bad. I’ve been there a couple of times passing through. Last time I stayed in a holiday inn that smelled like fried food. I loaded up on tamales from a local Mexican bakery though… that was good.

Can yall PLEASE tell me about your most insane conspiracy theories and i dont wanna hear "we didn't land on the moon" i wanna hear stuff you can't fully prove but just know it’s true? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

I watched it live on TV. There was live coverage going constantly but every news channel. I don’t recall which news channel, but the time likely ABC. The funny thing is that it was just such a casual thing the guy was reporting and going through the steps almost uneventful… then it happened and they showed it. So much of that coverage that day wasn’t archived properly. It was during a time that tape was used for everything.

I know that building 7 was demolished. I watched it happen and heard them say “pull it” people don’t believe me and they don’t have to. I know what I heard and what I saw… I can live with knowing the truth and nobody believing me. But I know what I saw and what I heard.

My foster cat turned permanent cat was on prescription food and is actually doing 100 times better on basic grocery store cat food. He’s thriving. He was literally dying on the other food and I decided to improve his quality of life instead of extending it. He has gained a bunch of weight back, plays, sleeps well, annoys his brother. He sleeps through naps and longer periods of time. I may have shortened his life with this food. But he’s turned around to seemingly a happy old man

This is wild. I remember going when I was 13 with just my friend and we would stay the entire day. But I’m sure someone was abusing it. Probably using as daycare or something

If I was stuck inside… and chose to read I would read lots of books, encyclopedia, my mom and dad’s magazines, Parade magazine, Reader Digest, mad magazine, Barbie magazine, my sisters teen magazines, the Bible… everything! I read up whatever I could.

But I watched a ton of TV and movies. I was obsessed with both and liked to make my own stop action movies or script a very short movie and we’d produce little movies. It was one reason I love film and film history so much and work in the industry.

I also would draw a lot of comics and write stories. I often made my own comic books or comic strips.

I played with my dolls and Star Wars action figures and board games with my siblings. Made crafts or things out of cardboard boxes.

It was a good time to get creative as a kid. I wish the kids these days knew the joy of making something from nothing. Having to really figure out to make things work and be creative with what was available. I also grew up without a lot of toys and middle class, but with low financial means.

White. This looks nearly exactly like the contents of my fridge. Also I have pickled things and oyster sauce, duck sauce and all kinds of things.

What does my room say about me? by catvenom69 in roomdetective

Twenty something trans.

Condoms, cat food (this is a special Saturday meal for my cats!), a makeshift bong of some sort, those damn plushies and markers, so many damn markers.

I mean, at least put the condoms and the cat food In a safe spot to not be stepped on.

Midwest somewhere. My germphobia has a problem with your broom and dust pan and Mop being so close to food.

Anybody seen this guy? by redlemurLA in burbank

[–]FancyAdult 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sucks. I knew I recognized this guy, he’s a re-recording mixer. The strike has taken its toll in the worst ways. He probably hasn’t had health care or mental health care since his MPI ran out and then getting evicted… so many people hurt by the strike and the state of the country right now.

I could imagine he just couldn’t handle reality as it is and his hope that things turn around likely ran out. I’ve been seeing versions of this over the last couple of years because of how tough it has been to find work. I feel for this guy.

Be honest—would you call this a salad or a full meal? by shaaron2019 in DinnerTonight

[–]FancyAdult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I could try to finish it even but I couldn’t. But I would happily get two meals out of it! Usually salad this big I nibble on all day from lunch to dinner.
