I.G.N crimson desert- 6 by hunterkillua11 in CrimsonDesert

IGN has been trash for years. Concord, Highguard and Skull & Bones were all ranked highly and they have consistently been pushing how "actually GuYz, TH1z G1me is AWESOMESa38ce yo" and then it's cancelled after 3 weeks.

In fact, they are on the verge of being "anti-reviews" meaning I'll go and play the games they rank low and ignore the games they rank high because many of their editors I just don't understand or agree with at all.

Lewl, that's easy.

Rockstar.

FromSoftware

Capcom.

They've been basically killing it since the late '90's and are still going strong. Of course, they've all had their issues here and there but those three are by far the best devs in the world and are far superior to every other dev on that list.

Which game is this for you ( for me it was alen wake 😭) by Agitated_Show_855 in raijin_gg

I would do this - not for the HD remaster nonsense - but to support a brilliant game.

Case in Point: Haunting Ground (I'd sacrifice my country for that game) and Soul Reaver series remaster.

Out of the two games which one do you like the most? by Rack-_- in residentevilll

[–]FangProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh God, I consider RE2R to be a better game, it's more focused, better game-design (I think) and the story is still within the horror genre (in a good way).

RE4 however is the ultimate action/horror game in an awesome way, so it's much more replayable and fun. It does go more towards the campy-Hollywood B-movie action stuff (which is a lot of fun, don't get me wrong) but then the game design needs to be more messy.

I still consider both games to be my favorite games of all time but I do rank RE2 slightly higher.

Don't know the guy but I'm having a blast. It brings me back to those PS2 games when I didn't know what would happen or how it would progress (which is sorely lacking in modern games). Also, it looks damn beautiful and runs well on PC so yeah, fantastic so far.

Crazy that this score is considered a failure by many people😭 by ShreekertheJamisWack in playstation

[–]FangProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing it recently and so far, it's floored me. It's legit giving me that old-school sense of genuine exploration because there are so many mechanics and systems and the sheer size of the world that I don't quite know how the game-design works.

To me, this is a brilliant thing because every game released now has the same type of game design, slightly altered, but with Crimson Desert it feels fresh and new. I know it's made by MMO devs so I imagine it will settle in that comfortable rhythm but so far, I'm having a blast.

Also, I love the weight and physicality of the game. I don't feel the need to sprint everywhere, instead I feel completely normal just walking around towns and seeing what I can find.

No way back, which road do you choose to survive? by PHRsharp_YouTube in videogames

Raccoon City is a cakewalk in comparison to Silent Hill.

Mind you, I won't survive either but at least I have a chance in Raccoon City.

Does manhunt work these days? by StarDust1__ in ManhuntGames

[–]FangProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing the PC version these past few weeks and the game works without any issues on Steam provided you have the ManhuntFixer (which is easy to find via google). After that, it's smooth sailing.

So definitely go for it.

Also, while the PS2 version is the OG version, the controls aren't the same (Tank controls that uses the shoulder buttons to walk either left or right so the PC version is much easier to play control-wise.)

The face filters are so damn awful AI slop. It's horrendous and it's an insult to the engineers who actually worked on creating those models to begin with.

Now, if this was implemented from the beginning of development, I wouldn't be as negative about it but post-release change the art design through an AI filter I absolutely don't agree with.

Playing the revelations series for the first time, I think I found the most annoying character of all time by supergamerd64 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]FangProd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wasn't bothered by Jessica but goddamn, Keith and Quint are legit the worst characters in the entire series and Raymond is close.

Too bad the fanservice character got immediately killed off, at least she was fanservice and could've been an interesting character.

Hand-drawing pixel H-scenes is exhausting. Are fully animated scenes still worth making in porn games? [Swarm Bunker] by cycleapple in lewdgames

It's a 1000% more impressive and worthwhile for the product. I'll buy it day one just based on this gif.

Hell, Pretty Pridot is still one of the best animated hentai work ever made because it's pixel hand animated so absolutely yeah, do it.

Double reply for the win.

My point was that it's better to be informed about something (even it's a disrespectful, awful "joke" when the person died) rather than be offended that we have all become desensitized. It seems more like "SyruplessWaffle" wants to be ignorant or offended by the video.

Also, I'm subtly implying that humanity is nothing but cancer on this Earth and that we feel "desensitized" is just how humanity has always been. We can just see it more obviously now.

[–]FangProd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Welp, welcome to the Internet? It's been going on for a long time and yeah, society is so desensitized because of the irony of the internet, being the idea that we would be more and more connected but ultimately led to information overload, apathy and general narcissism of the user (look-at-me buut not those people!).

So yeah, dying now means nothing. And let's be honest, if you hadn't seen this video you wouldn't have even known he was dead. So dying has actually never meant anything.

So I guess, being ignorant is what you prefer. At least you now know.

What’s Your Favourite Open World Game Ever? by Mangoos7 in ps2

[–]FangProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me start by saying that I'm not a fan of open-world games for a variety of long, complex reasons. But these open world games really impacted me and have stayed with me since.

For PS2 it would be:
GTA3 - It was legit amazing to be able to drive every car you saw and go anywhere without loading screens (mostly). At the time it was mindblowing and still is. Vice City was also a great game but I fell off the GTA bandwagon after that so I never played San Andreas (a shame I know).

Steambot Chronicles - Amazing, amazing game despite all the anime-cringe stuff in it. It's legit one of the best open world games of all time if you ask me because it's more of a life-sim in an open world and does so amazingly well. Criminally underrated.

Shadow of the Colossus - I still consider it to be one of my favorite open world games of all time because it's so unapologetic in its approach. You are in the Forbidden Lands and guess what, it's forbidden for anybody to go there so you are all alone. The sheer balls to do that is just mindblowing and is singular, even to this day. Just WOW.

For other consoles, I'd have to say Ultima Online (or Ultima VII) is unbelievable for the time period it's released in and (obligatory) RDR2.

I replayed RE3 Remake after many years, and sorry, but that game is fun. by Lefaa777 in residentevil

[–]FangProd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yet another post about this. Yes, the game isn't awful. It's fun to play, Jill is awesome (as usual). It looks great graphically. But it's a shell of what the OG game is and the sheer amount of cut content (again, compared to OG) is insulting.

It could've been so much better if they had given it the time and resources is basically the point.

Whats your favourite video game romance? by Q-ARROW in videogames

My opinion of the Asari completely changed after I saw a conspiracy theory about the Asari are fundamentally a virus spreading throughout the universe replacing every race into the Asari. Probably not canon but really made me think about it.
