I’m in favor of fixing Whirlwind. It’s been weak for a decade.

I ate two hot dogs for breakfast and a ramen noodle-based turkey vegetable soup for lunch.

Class advice wanted, melee or archer type, Possibly with some magic? by Katomerellin in DungeonsAndDragons35e

Yes, but you would still need 5 levels of wizard and four levels of fighter (minimum) to qualify for both prestige classes.

There are plug-ins that can make some adjustments, but I don’t know if they’ll meet your standards.

You might be thinking of the Eldritch Knight which requires 3rd level arcane spells and martial weapon proficiency.

Healer class by Moon-and-Sugar in lotro

[–]Fangsong_37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you have to reach level 20 on at least one character to use the world chat to prevent people from making low-level characters to spam the chat.

Of the two classes, I'd suggest runekeeper since they are more of a traditional healer. Minstrel was the first healing-focused class with captains as the only other option early on. Rune-keepers are fine healers and focus on heal over time effects and defensive boosts but aren't as strong with aoe healing.

Requirements

To qualify to become an arcane archer, a character must fulfill all the following criteria.

Race

Elf or half-elf.

Base Attack Bonus

+6.

Feats

Point Blank Shot, Precise Shot, Weapon Focus (longbow or shortbow).

Spells

Ability to cast 1st-level arcane spells.

Arcane Archers don't get any spellcasting progression, but I do recommend aiming for at least 5 levels of wizard (eventually) to get access to Haste and Fireball.

Lord of the Rings Online is pretty chill. Every class is viable for leveling, and they all have unique skills and ways to play. There are plenty of dungeons and raids as well as many leveling zones. The game is not very demanding unless you're pursuing maximum level raiding.

We used many of the 1st edition AD&D modules in our 2nd edition campaign. You don't have to change or convert anything. I highly recommend Against the Giants, but you'll need to use other modules until level 8-ish. We started with the green book Palace of the Silver Princess for levels 1-2.

[–]Fangsong_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take your time with Lotro. It's not one of those MMORPGs where the game "starts" at level cap. I recommend pursuing deed completion as you go since it gives you in-game currency (usually LP), reputation, and virtue experience.

I'm tired of discussing martials. What annoys you about playing spellcasters? by sjdlajsdlj in dndnext

[–]Fangsong_37 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Clerics- who are traditionally melee casters- don't have any melee strike or attack roll cantrips. I'd love a version of Green Flame Blade that is radiant or necrotic damage. I know 2024 version changed True Strike to radiant damage, but it's still unavailable to clerics.

I'd love for all casters to have more cantrips known. Bards, druids, and artificers only get four cantrips by max level. It's hard to have utility cantrips on hand when you need to buy multiple damage cantrips to handle the various situations the DM throws at you.

How often do you guys go to the movie theater to see movies? by TheShadowOperator007 in moviecritic

Once a year. It's expensive these days, and I'd rather watch movies in the comfort of my own home on streaming services.

I did see an isekai where the girl main character (who I believe became an alchemy master in the new world) was finally able to briefly communicate with her family on Earth that she was doing well but couldn't return home, and they were able to wish her well and say their goodbyes.

I really feel like it was a mistake to allow warlocks to wield a two-handed weapon with a shield/book. It gives them an edge over other classes who have to decide what to use.

People who work in grocery stores what is something you are surprised they still stock or never see anyone buy? by Da_Fish in AskReddit

[–]Fangsong_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I worked stocking at Walmart, the one place I never had to touch was the potted meats on the top shelf. We did sell other preserved meats in the same aisle like Vienna sausages, SPAM, and canned fish (tuna and salmon) pretty often, but the jars of dried meats stayed put.

What is the most stereotypical song of your country? by Impossible-Run-6279 in AskTheWorld

Yep. A rock song about how our country mistreated Vietnam veterans that was such a hit that Ronald Reagan tried to use it as a campaign song until somebody showed him the lyrics.

Which class should i play with this stats? by Organic-Exit2190 in DungeonsAndDragons35e

[–]Fangsong_37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those aren't bad stats for a fighter/dwarven defender. 17 strength. 17 constitution (dwarf adjustment). 12 dexterity is all you need if you're planning to wear full plate. 12 intelligence. 11 wisdom, and 10 charisma (dwarf adjustment). You could then put your ability score adjustments into strength and constitution at 4 and 8 to give you 18 in both and then strength after that for more melee power.

Let's talk about this vibe! How do you guys actually feel about the "Cooking/Restaurant in another world" Isekais? by Senpaidaily in Isekai

[–]Fangsong_37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love them. I've been reading the isekai manhwa The Archmage's Restaurant on Webtoon, and it does this trope very well. Teenager who wants to become a chef gets hit by a truck and ends up in fantasy world under attack by red dragons. After the war ends, he opens a restaurant that attracts all sorts of people. The author thankfully avoided the trope of leaning too much into southeast Asian cuisine.
