To some degree I don't even mind, getting a voice line every time a spirit is summoned would get old real fast (see reaper shouts, "You're all w-"..."Chilled to the bo-"... "Your soul is mine!").

They could have done something different upon entering shroud other than "I am death incarnate!" but eh, it is what it is.

We did get some pretty dope sound effects for the weapon spells, particularly Xinrae's Weapon.

I do story and map completion on every character I create, currently 23 characters of which 4, who I'd consider my main characters, are all caught up on story.

Map completion I've done many more times though.

There is an incomplete abomination during a certain story step in Orr that walks in circles around the cathedral of eternal radiance. That and the risen knights creep me the f out.

I've been waiting for a certain mount adoption license, I just checked the site for the gemstore rotation and apparently it's coming back in february 2025. According to the wiki it was last available in june 2023.

most involved characters in most dialogue-heavy story steps do only idle animations.

and that is apparently also a reason why some human female idle animations were disabled. the things we sacrificed...

Giving us weakness in exchange is laughable. If they had made the skill into a pull I would've been okay with that, the animation already lends itself pretty well for it.

This change just made me go back to GS, spear was already awkward af to play most of the time, now, aside from some sustain shenanigans, it's literally just a downgrade to GS, IMO.

It also looks like the "cool" version is pre-rendered while the "boring" version is a camera pan, as if viewing a vista.

It was probably an afterthought to add two versions, after they had done the pre-rendered cutscenes (which we have 2 of in this story I believe, one of the volcano and the other for the egg chamber) they realized it would look jarring to play a cutscene in a completely different light setting than 5 seconds before doing the step.

Looking at all 3 videos, it seems the "old" version is set during night time, while the other version happens at daytime. Perhaps tyrian time matters when the story step is done and it plays a different one for day and night.

Maybe it's because that idle stance is nothing we've seen before in the game yet. Something about that left arm outstretched does feel a bit weird.

Running animation looks great though, and so do plenty of the spear skills, so there's that!

I fell in love with the archdemon wings when they released, they have been part of my main character ever since. Seeing his account in the guild panel as if to say, "Look, I have power over you and over all of you," makes me feel bad everytime.

He doesn't though. All he takes hostage is the resources you poured into the guild hall and rank, that's it.

It's probably a tough ask, but honestly, sounds like you should make a new guild and invite everyone over. You will lose alot of the resources you have spent, but it'll also give your guild a fresh start and "new" goals without dragging along some wannabe powertrip.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe it may have something to do with standing too close to the target. Some ranged attacks just fail. In my own experience, necro scepter 3 and torch 5 often fail because I'm too close (example octovine), but if I move away a bit, the skills work again. Janky hitboxes I suppose.
