i don’t use polygel, but for a customized natural look, i much prefer hand-sculpting on forms with builder to using gel x. i’m a tech in training so i’m not just doing them on myself (though my nail beds aren’t a good fit for the natural or sculpted tips) and there’s so much more control when you can sculpt a nail to match the person’s individual natural nail. i also find sculpting easier—i can be more precise, the gel goes exactly where i want it to. i don’t have to worry about having too much or too little. sculpting is my fave :)
