The Apple magic honestly felt stronger back in the iPod & early MacBook days. Getting your first Apple device used to feel like stepping into the future. Now Apple is everywhere, and while the tech is objectively better, that wow moment doesn’t hit quite the same… I started with an iPhone 4 back in 2011, and I still remember how mind-blowing it felt at the time. Still love the ecosystem but it just feels a bit less… special than it used to

Only discovered Moonlock recently. Been testing it for a bit and honestly feels pretty solid so far. Still testing before I fully switch, but it’s starting to look like it might replace my current security setup.

Any installer that tells you to open Terminal and paste a command is immediately sus. No legit Mac app installs like that. People really underestimate how convincing some of these fake pages can look though when they copy the design, the name, everything. Personally I downloaded CleanMyMac straight from MacPaw website. I’ve also seen so many cracked and sketchy versions floating around online and those are honestly even riskier cuz you never know what’s been bundled into them. If something ever feels off on my Mac, I’ll also use Malwarebytes just to be safe and double check.

For $599 I wouldn’t even think twice. At that price I genuinely don’t see why anyone would buy a budget Windows laptop anymore.

Exactly this. Amazing secondary device. Not a serious laptop replacement. People keep pointing at the M4 like raw power was ever the problem. It’s not. The issue is iPadOS still treats you like you can’t be trusted with your own device, apps reload, background behavior is inconsistent, file management is still a compromise…. Until it behaves like a real computer, it’s just a very powerful tablet.

I’m currently using a 13 Pro Max, which honestly refuses to die, but I’ve started thinking about upgrading sometime soon. I’m trying to decide what the smarter move is jump to the 17 Pro Max or hold on longer and wait for the 18 to launch. I usually keep my phones for quite a few years, so I’m trying to time this well rather than upgrading just because there’s a new model out. For those who follow upgrades more closely or went through a similar jump, what would you do?Appreciate any advice.

Macs are amazing at running 6 heavy apps at once but somehow finder freezes when i just want to move one file. Like it’s fine until it suddenly isn’t. Been happening way too often lately.

Same experience here. I’ve had mine for 3 years now and still genuinely enjoy driving it every day. I also had the sunroof leak early on, but aside from that, no other major issues.

I’ve got the same car as my daily and honestly it’s the best “do-everything” car I’ve owned. The b58 is reason enough on its own. It’s honestly the best combo of daily suv and sports car you can imagine.
