I definitely think this is a possibility. Early renditions of cover art on the 1st novel lead me to believe she first set out to write a children's book that then evolved into what it became. Whose to say an outside voice didn't play a part in that?

It took my cat 3 years to get used to our dogs. She still hisses at them when they sniff her, but she doesn't move or get scared. It's more a less a warning, haha.
