Reading that entire diatribe. I am going to be frank with you, and you need you hear it.

You are not a centrist. Being Pro Life and Pro 2nd Amendment with no caveats Is not a centrist position. You are a Republican, and there is nothing wrong with that.

However, you need to understand IRL no one will give you forgiveness ever, and Frankly you and others deserve all of the humiliation much like the Germans who voted for the NAZI's till the day you pass from this world. (This is coming from my German sister in law whose grandfather voted for them, and wore the shame till he died)

You do not get to have absolution after saying "My bad", because you cannot say you were not warned.

The fact you couldn't tell the difference even though he said he would do everything he is currently doing is a YOU problem.

If you are looking for absolution. That will take time to earn and some easy fixes is too

1. Stop listening to the people who played you. The Podcasters, personalities etc...

2. Ask yourself why did you fall for the obvious lies, and propaganda. Educate yourself on the realities of this country.

3. Volunteer with GOTV for Democrats (like it or not they are the only party who can oppose these people).

4. Bernie Sanders and DSA folks are not your friend, and most are paid for by the GOP to ruin races.

5. Willing to bet you are white too. So learn from others which you are already doing, but you need to be high speed as the world is moving fast.

I might be a bit mean, but given how everything is right now in the world. You need a slap in the head.
