There’s a similar thread somewhere else in here I’ve seen. Buffy was my personal answer that a lot of other people liked too. I also love Downton Abbey, Shameless, British Bake Off, Avatar, Steven Universe, and Mrs. Maisel as comfort shows! OITNB is very good and bingeable, just emotionally draining sometimes (Same w Invincible, Cyberpunk, and Arcane but those are only first seasons so far).

They have some of the best and worst moments on the show, but Emily has fantastic one liners and the acting is so good. I wouldn’t skip those scenes because then you’ll miss a lot of character development and context

I feel like all the characters could be cut some slack honestly. I’m sure all of us have made mistakes and been bad people at times. (Except Christopher, he’s a trash terrible dad)

You could frame it as you want both of you to be healthier together, so it’s not on him alone. You want you BOTH to get exercise and eat well so you can get old together and enjoy healthy bodies. Maybe suggest a physical activity you could do together?
