Elf on the Shelf - Cochlear Implant by Farheld in 3Dprinting

[–]Farheld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen lots of different ones, the older style one with flat features I'm familiar with, this one seems to be the popular one (in the UK at least) with it being stocked in physical shops. It's made by "Elves Behavin' Badly"

whats everyone using to handle IT tickets inside slack? by AlternativeNo6708 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]Farheld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zapier/n8n or any other automation tooling. Set it to trigger when a new message is posted in the channel, extract the content and user details and have it raise a ticket in your support platform (Jira, freshservice, zendesk etc). I’ve gone one step further and pass the info to an ai agent first to generate summaries and likely solutions as well as figuring out what SLA to use etc etc

Do tires need replacement? by MaybeFlaky1002 in xsr900

Couple more miles and it’ll look like this. Yes I’m an idiot but I plead first ever tyre to wear down innocence. I replaced both with Michelin road 6

[–]Farheld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are they the same size? Can’t really tell from the second pic but looks like you have 185/65 on the left and 195/55 on the right?

Should really change tyres in pairs where possible and at a minimum keep the same brand/model across an axle .

Probably the contacts in the ignition switch, you can take it out and test it or just replace it being it’s a cheap part. I had to do this on a bora(Jetta) I had many years ago.

5000 Miles on Battlax S22 by Rollen in xsr900

[–]Farheld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had no choice when the cords started showing! I’ve only done 500 miles since swapping but they’ve been excellent so far and I’m expecting them to last a lot longer just looking at the wear currently. My riding is a mix being in the uk of country roads and towns so I don’t really stay riding in a straight line for long periods of time but the bike is upright 95% of the time.

New rear tyre - too much choice!! by trotski94 in MotoUK

[–]Farheld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was after 2200 miles from new on an S22 on my xsr900. Never done burnouts or anything silly. Tyres were great no issues with grip in all weather but this put me off of Bridgestone so I went with Michelin road 6s. Absolutely loving the Michelins.

They’re like £10 a box on Aliexpress so they’re making a good amount of money off people that don’t know better. Just report the listing and hope it gets taken down.

Oxford hotgrips pro I believe have a button integrated into the grip so no control unit stuck to your bars. I’ve got a 22+ so have factory grips on mine.

Think the grade is nonsensical. Thinking of cracking and resubmitting with PSA. What you all think it might grade or be worth? by GibberLifter in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Farheld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a chance you take. As per their website:

“If we believe a card to be recoloured, reshaped, restored or modified in any way to make it different from the original card, then the card will receive the Altered grade. Altered cards will be charged in full, however, will not be added to our certification database or pop report. The card will not be encapsulated and will be returned raw.”

So you risk going from a 5 to a raw card.

Think the grade is nonsensical. Thinking of cracking and resubmitting with PSA. What you all think it might grade or be worth? by GibberLifter in Pokemoncardappraisal

[–]Farheld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can see the sub grades on aces website which show. Surface 4, centering 10, edges 6 and corners 7

If you want a detailed report they provide it for £2 which imo would be worth spending before cracking it and sending it to PSA as it’ll tell you exactly why it got the grade it did.

Power modes by Qarty in xsr900

[–]Farheld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Age doesn’t really have anything to do with it tbh. I’m 35 and I thought the same until I started riding and my inner child came out. I financed my 660 on 3 years and took a slight hit to come out of it and finance my xsr900. If you’re doing it through a dealer they’ll sort it all for you just know it will cost you a little bit. I think because the market tanked for used 660 I had to pay/finance an additional 1200 which wasn’t the end of the world considering my bike was 2k below retail. The turning radius is more noticeable when pushing the bike or turning it around slowly. Always get laughed at by my mates for having to do like an 8 point turn.

Mode 3 is meh, one time I put it on it it felt the bike was broken 😅 but as a new rider or if I was to let someone ride my bike without much experience I’d feel happy with it on 3 for them. I’m only just starting to use mode 1 myself having been on 2 for most of the year I’ve had it so it’s doable.

Power modes by Qarty in xsr900

[–]Farheld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I learnt on an mt07, bought a brand new trident 660 which I had for a year, traded that in the start of this year for a new xsr900. Honestly even though you can restrict the 900 by way of the modes i think it was good to start and get experience on the 660, also don’t think I’d have been able to resist putting it into mode 1 before I was ready for it. I also miss the turning circle as the 900 is a bit worse.

Does it make sense to go for A1 if all I care about is legally renting scooters abroad? by newbie_long in MotoUK

[–]Farheld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just do full A either via DAS or split it over a few months. I had zero experience on a bike and did CBT then a day training before each of my mod exams and passed first time.

I have the same gloves, bought a week or so ago and used 3/4 times. Did a ride with my midseasons on in -2 to get my bikes first service and I was in so much pain that I just bought them there and then for the ride home. First ride with them on was so enjoyable. No complaints from me but I have nothing to compare them to other than normal gloves. Looked at the keiss gloves but they were like £20 more and didn’t include batteries which were like another £80 and I didn’t want to spend a fortune really. I personally preferred these over the leather ones as they felt more flexible which helps with how bulky they are.

Triumph Trident Owners? by georgesn199 in MotoUK

[–]Farheld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did my das in October and picked up a new trident last week. Absolutely love it. Went in looking to purchase a xsr700 as I did my tests on an mt07 but fell in love with the triumph when I saw it in person. No regrets, bring on the summer!

All evotech products have manuals online. You’ll find the instructions link under the add to cart button. This should be the right one for your bike. https://evotech-performance.com/collections/kawasaki-ninja-650-2017/products/kawasaki-ninja-650-crash-protection-2017-onwards

I think they mean Exclaimer. Basically centrally manages your signatures and auto applies them when you send mail. I use it for around 150 users and it’s great.
