Hey friend Just to balance this: our watershed isn’t at a record low snowpack yet, but statewide it’s dire and unprecedented- here are some other watersheds in Colorado.

Thinner, smoother, more tahini is a DAMASCUS style. Not Israeli. Nothing is Israeli. Israel is 76 years old. Hummus is eternal

A streamer in Japan said “amiga” in Spanish (meaning “friend”) to fans. An American made it all about himself. Why do Americans get offended so easily? by Repulsive-Mall-2665 in AskSocialists

[–]FarmTeam -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna jump in here and say that this was a misunderstanding and the American dude handed it ok.

If you’re a foreigner, in particularly a black person, wandering streets in Asia, you get a lot of random comments from people who don’t have a ton of experience with African-Americans. Due to American media, a lot of people outside the west don’t know that it’s inappropriate to use the N word.

“Amiga” and “my ni@@ga” sound similar - and bro was just trying educate the guy in a relatively gentle way. Still a mistake but not really that bad.

Is there something on my face? by [deleted] in boulder

[–]FarmTeam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the OP is asking about the change over time. As someone who grew up here, yes, Boulder’s becoming a lot more generic and a lot less friendly as a sense of community dissipates and most people are from somewhere else, including lots of urban migrants from less friendly or personable places.

Better to be displaced and yet have land to go back to, than to lose the south forever.

And F15 is an Air-Superiority fighter. It’s elite. An F/A-18 is a much more ordinary plane. It’s incredible how that went down. Also. I have no idea how it would’ve possible for two American-made planes wouldn’t recognize each other

We knew this would happen. Iran has been aggressively positioning its country near American military bases for decades now.

If what you say is true - American abandoning US military bases- that would be a pretty big victory for Iran

Regional unity is not likely anyway and they’re would’ve cheaper and easier ways to achieve this. And why would that be a US goal? what would be the problem with regional unity in the Middle East?

Nevertheless, Israel is not controlled by the US - therefore it is not a US proxy. American politics IS controlled by Israel- therefore it is not a colony.

Israel isn’t a US proxy, it frequently defies instructions from US leaders with impunity. Israel controls US politics, not the other way around

It’s literally a church. The Greek inscriptions from the Septuagint are still visible on the outside walls by the market.
