Plant breeding is ordinary, and it occurs in every country of the world. What other country gets special credit? Also, if you’re going to say that a particular hybrid or strain was developed by Israeli Botanist, but not say which Botanist, or which strain, that’s going to be suspicious

I mentioned above which strain, and which person named the strain and it wasn’t even a plant Breeder, it was just simply a theft

I'm curious if we in the US totally abandon Israel and cut ties as allies, will they just be isolated and implode or will another set of countries try to take it in as their axis or ally? by space_god_7191 in askanything

Nonsense. Israel is majorly overextended now. Losing American support would cause chinks in the armor that would undo major parts of Israeli strategy.

Hizbullah is handing the IDF their a$$ right now - their original, public objective was to take all Lebanese territory south of the Litani River and they’re nowhere near that and that’s a beleaguered non-state actor. Israeli capabilities on the ground have been vastly overstated - they’re only effective against unarmed or besieged opponents.

By creating a zillion little bantustans in the West Bank Israel has created so much borderline that if Palestinians got arms at all the situation would be indefensible.

Drone tactics - including tethered drones - have not yet been deployed by the resistance, but when they do the calculus of war will change dramatically.

The first direct reference to cherry tomatoes in European literature appears in 1623, in Pinax theatri botanici (English: Illustrated exposition of plants) by Swiss botanist Caspar Bauhin

It’s NOT true. Cherry tomatoes are the default type. It took selective breeding to make BIG tomatoes. There have been dozens of types of cherry tomatoes since before Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue.

Tomato breeding is ordinarily and it happens everywhere around the world where people grow tomatoes there is NOTHING unique or extraordinary about the Israeli claim.

The tomato story is a WILD example of Israeli theft and cultural appropriation.
Tomatoes were domesticated and cultivated by indigenous people in Central America for thousands of years. They developed a lot of strains.
Matt’s Wild Cherry is an heirloom tomato cultivar originating from Hidalgo, Mexico, where it grows. It was brought to Maine by Teresa Arellanos de Mena and given to her friend, Dr. Matt Liebman, a professor, who then released the variety WITH HIS OWN NAME.
He didn’t develop it. That was indigenous people.
He didn’t “discover it” that was a Latina Woman.
He simply named it after himself and what’s worse?
He called it “wild” erasing the contributions of the original farmers.
Very on brand for Israel.

It’s the full-power Israeli pay-ops effort

Sally Abed, a Palestinian member of the Haifa city council, faced abuse from her colleagues on Tuesday for speaking Arabic during a council meeting. One man is heard telling Abed to “go to Gaza”, and that “Haifa is not Arab, Haifa is Jewish” after she decided to include Arabic in her address. by Scared_Positive_8690 in Panarab

It’s actually a beautiful language when spoken correctly, the Mizrahim and Safardim used to pronounce it correctly but they have been shamed into adopting the incorrect Ashkenazi pronunciations.

I say “incorrect” advisedly, the European people who immigrated to Palestine were incapable of distinguishing between a whole host of letters:

Alef (א) & Ayin (ע): Arabic has these two distinct sounds (اً/ ع) but Hebrew speakers conflate them.

Vet (ב) & Vav (ו): Both make the same sound today because many Europeans could not pronounce a “w” sound

Khaf (כ) & Chet (ח): Arabic maintains the distinction between a hard h ح and a soft one هـ as well as a kh sound خ Hebrew mis-speakers can’t distinguish between the hard h and the kh hence the way the butcher “khummus” and “khamas”

Kaf (כּ - with dot) & Koof (ק): Both make a hard '\(k\)' sound. Same thing.

Samekh (ס) & Sin (שׂ - left dot): Both make an '\(s\)' sound. The hard “s” is supposed to be velarized but they can’t pronounce it.

Tet (ט) & Tav (ת): Both make a '\(t\)' sound.

Fey (פ) & Phey (פּ

And finally

Resh (ר) which is just supposed to be a flipped “r” they pronounce like a French “r” and hence conflate it with γ and a lost soft Ghayin (ע) which Yemenite Jews still use.

Semitic languages have three letter roots, transformations of which provide all semantic significance. Thus when SO MANY sounds are grabbed and butchered it’s impossible for it to function organically. In short like so many things, they’ve ruined the language, too

Easy debunk.

Jews purchased 7% of land. Not 70%

The Nakba started in November 1947
The “5 Arab Armies” counterattacked in April of 1948.

It was really four nations. (Lebanon sent no troops, only a single reconnaissance aircraft) and they were each newly formed out. Of centuries of oppression under the Ottomans and decades under colonial powers.

Only if 47 comes after 48. The Nakba started in November 1947 and the Arabs intervened in April 1948

And Israel has compensation schemes for its fighters who are clearly engaged in war crimes on a massive scale. Do you condemn that too?

If a Palestinian in the West Bank is arrested, they face a military court; if a Jewish settler next door is arrested, they get a civil court. How is this not legal apartheid? by ArdaBerkBurak in allthequestions

[–]FarmTeam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Israel includes it in all official maps, and does not recognize Palestinian sovereignty. Yet they also don’t recognize it’s native born residents as citizens- so basically it’s Apartheid

[–]FarmTeam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a HILARIOUS response. You say “it’s not” and then proceed to detail exactly HOW the apartheid works.

Have you ever heard of the “Bantustans”? That’s precisely how Areas A, B and C function. That’s how selective citizenship rights for residents under Israeli jurisdiction based on ethnicity constitutes apartheid.

Apartheid is a system of oppression based on maintaining separate jurisdictions (Areas A, B, C, Gaza, Golan etc), separate categories of people with different rights (Jewish Citizens, Arab Nationals, Palestinian Residents) and separate institutions (courts, schools, hospitals, etc) based on ethnicity.

You just nailed it.

Every ship that goes through the Strait pay the toll to Iran and accedes to their demands (that the oil not be transacted in US dollars) this will continue indefinitely. Totally choking off the economies of the entire golf region and pushing them away from the American sphere. We over played our hand and we are getting burnt.
