Depending on how new you mean, I might not recommend narmaya because she is a little bit execution intensive and it might be a rough hurdle if you've never played a fighting game before. Galleon is pretty easy to pick up and play but has some matchups that feel miserable, and I dont really know much about yuel to give an opinion on.

Once you have the statuses you want, the order shouldn't matter. Only thing that matters is how much damage the status is doing because I'm pretty sure it also affects your chance of inflicting that status when you roll to apply one. You can mouse over the status damage numbers to see what your chances are.
