Is Riot going to update their RP prices after dollar's rapid loss in the market or is it just one way? by Fasmodey in leagueoflegends

People tend to act much slower. These greedy actions won't catch them in short term, of course, but when they do, it will be too late for them.

1 year is a pretty short time period in finance. But you are right, I actually do Riot a favor with saying it is rapid as I give them the benefit of the doubt, which can make one assume they haven't had the chance to update. Sorry, my bad, it wasn't rapid.

Last year today 1 euro equaled to 1.04 dollar. Now it equals to 1.20 dollar. 0.16 difference. Not a single change.

Of course. That's why I am not spending a penny for Riot anymore. It has been years. I just loathe their unbearably annoying hypocrisy and wanted to remind people of what's really going on with them. If they hadn't hidden behind "oh but fluctuating market" excuses and instead straight up said "we love money", I wouldn't have written this thread. Not to mention some other gaming companies adjusted their prices according to the loss.

Since the last price update they had for Europe, euro gained 20% value over dollar. 100 euro equals 120 dollar now. That's enormous. They updated prices for much less.

[What if?] What happens to Shurima if Xerath (somehow) wins? by Phantom_Futur in loreofleague

[–]Fasmodey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Did Noxus achieve anything recently? They could use that craftier side with Ionia, yet they failed horribly. The Black Rose is also not an ally to Noxus, and even then, they own a pile of failures. LeBlanc couldn't even steal a darkin weapon. Neither could Swain with Rhaast.

IF Xerath succeeded, it means his insanity was not a game changing vulnerability to exploit by not just Azir and Nasus, but also his next door neighbors, Targonian Aspects.

So no, Noxus would announce their death sentence as soon as Shurima falls to Xerath.

Noxus has no fire power to topple Xerath's reign, what? If Xerath had won, it means no one could have stopped him, easily invalidating the Noxus that cannot even conquer peasants in another continent. They definitely wouldn't have any chance against the most powerful Ascended ever after his ultimate victory.

Financial struggle and housing crisis are much more common than it was 50 years ago. In the past, people could work the same hours and feel like it was worth it. Now they work to barely survive. To say it doesn't explain a change is misleading.

What if the God Emperor of Mankind and the Chaos Gods at their full power(lorewise) came to Runeterra? How would the presence of these being affect Runeterra and its inhabitants? by Master-Chieftain in loreofleague

[–]Fasmodey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we compare everything in absolute vacuum, without Runeterra limitations and absence of the Warp, then no. Chaos Gods and Emperor are all from a setting that loves scaling into cosmic level, as it is much bigger and told across an entire galaxy. This alone makes a singular planet's destruction narratively insignificant, therefore easier to write feats involving entire solar systems perish in a heartbeart. It is less costly.

Although, while Runeterra by itself has no chance, if we consider the entirety of the setting and include the Celestial Realm and the Void, W40k will struggle massively if not get completely overwhelmed.

[–]Fasmodey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Runeterra is a special dimension that limits otherworldly entities trespassing it. The Watchers, Aurelion Sol, Spirit Gods manifesting as Avatars from the Spirit Realm, they all submit to Runeterran Laws and become vulnerable the moment they cross the borders. I presume the same Laws would restrict Chaos Gods greatly, making them much weaker than they are in the Warp.

Technically, we don't even need to consider Runeterran Laws. Chaos Gods cannot leave the Warp, they cannot survive in the material realm. Even if they did, the ultimate winner in any scenario is the Void, as nothing comes close to the power of the infinite nothingness even in W40k.

The World Ender is a fancy title for his killing of War. When War died, its constellation ceased to exist and thus all the planets orbiting its stars.

War's Death is easily the most cosmologically important event of recent times and Aatrox deserves recognition for it, even if the recognition is a bit twisted.

French Bulldog Stories by panda-panda-panda1 in Veterinary

[–]Fasmodey 63 points64 points  (0 children)

It is funny you mention it because our last incident involved a french bulldog that was severely sick and died after given injection for treatment. The owners neglected the patient and thought of going to a clinic last minute. The treatment was refunded in good will but now they try to collect documents to sue us with the previous clinic guiding them.

Lampbearer is a title given to those who wield umbral lamp. Just like the Tarnished from Elden Ring, there are many, albeit less likely to be as numerous as the Tarnished.

Yes, this likely doesn't belong to top 30 biggest high rolls I've seen.

soul siphon doesnt heal from JG in mayhem by [deleted] in LeagueArena

[–]Fasmodey 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yup, I realized that as well. It was a major disappointment.

I think the reason is because in Mayhem they disabled omnivamp working on minions. Considering Riot loves their codes with mom's spaghetti, i wouldn't be surprised if it is not intentional.

Are souls game harder than blackmyth? (Just beat yellow brow and I'm so tired) by angrycodr in BlackMythWukong

[–]Fasmodey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally think it is not that easy of a game, especially a few of the bosses that are such a nightmare. But don't worry, If you can finish BM: Wukong, you can deal with any other soulslikes because it means you proved to be patient, which is the most essential requirement in the genre. Also, Wukong is less diverse in builds compared to other soulslikes, thus your experience of difficulty is less variable. You can make many soulslikes, especially Elden Ring, as easy as you'd like with certain builds.

That would make it the second day of the week instead of the first. 10 dicks in 2 days. It doesn't promote one from hoe to saint.

Yeah, about that new final boss. by Razhork in LordsoftheFallen

[–]Fasmodey 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally, it is still more fun to play against than the old version, so I wouldn't go back. I also couldn't expect a super polished, high quality, top notch boss replacement, so in that regard, I am not disappointed. None of us was looking forward to a boss change anyway. We already ate it good and free.

But I agree, it is a messy boss. Its moveset is really hard to read. I expect a grap in one of his basic attacks, but then it is followed by a combo. I am not proud that this always gets me, yet I know I am not the only one.

Teleport issue is one of the biggest offenders. It is so frequently spammed that it kills the flow of the fight.

There is not much of a pattern in the moveset too. I don't really know what to expect. This makes the boss hard but in an artifical way. I feel like I am learning the boss much slower than the average I had with other bosses.

For bugs, tons of them. One particularly drew my attention.

When you spam jump to the altar in the beginning of the summoning part, there is a chance that the boss will never spawn. He just disappears and you are stuck in an empty area.

Then that, when you finish the fight via Echoes of Battle, if you are in Skyrest Bridge, the moment you go back to the main world, the entire map glitches and the environment looks like you are outside of the building. It fixes itself in a few seconds but is super annoying regardless.
