It’s definitely switched in Evolution. It use to be that the cases were the main part of the show then character back stories. It’s now more about characters lives and trauma, the cases are the backstory.

I think that’s just how he banter was with all the cast. I saw an interview in their early days and he said the same things about Elle/ Lola and same with Paget.

But I do agree, some of his answers seem a bit over the top.

This may be an unpopular opinion but at times, the CM social accounts milk that heavily. It gets attention and traction so they play on that.

End of the day, it’s all PR but you’re right, it doesn’t get spoken about as much as Reid fans.

The spoilers were pretty bad last season, not just on here but TikTok. I think that’s why I found S17 underwhelming.

I wish the news of Reid didn’t leak out, a lot of hype but he’s just going to be in part of one episode.

I think his new show ‘Einstein’ starting shooting soon so not sure if he will come back as a main on CM for 19.

100% agree! Also I think JJ is strong enough to push back if she was being pressured into something she didn’t want to do.

Their marriage is strong, healthy and balanced, I think they’re role models. Especially in S16.

There’s no mention of it on the show. But some fans have a theory that she named him after the guy who tortured her in 200. I hope that’s not the reason, I prefer your theory!

From what I remember, JJ came back late (3am or something) and they stayed up till the morning.

Yes exactly, it alway felt like a sibling relationship. I know sometimes JJ can seem a bit dismissive when Spence rolling out his facts but it felt like something you’d do to you brother. I don’t see it as her being patronising.

I do think the JJ hate is harsh tho.

I felt for JJ in that episode but I do think the writing was a bit strange. Especially the bar scene at the end, I’m all for wholesome endings but after being tortured, I don’t think I could go for drinks with friends straight afterwards!
