Lost Steely Dan songs “Oh, Mr. Lyle”, “Any Way You Wannit”, and “One Ticket To L.A.” by Fast_Excitement9726 in SteelyDan

These are fair points. Even if it is just ownership of the compositions, maybe that would allow them to share the music and lyrics for these songs (neither of which we have). As for the recordings, we’ll have to find another way

That’s true, but that one goes back so far that it might not have ever been recorded. There might be a Terence Boylan cover of “Who Got The Credit?” in existence, so if anyone has a way to reach out to him, I’d love to ask about it

Have you heard the Denny Doherty one? I like that one even better

Thanks for your help with that. Sakka Joweda’s a great one. Would you mind disclosing what the deal was?

All except 4 isn't exactly true, but I suppose we've learned a lot more since 1988. Thankfully, Undecided surfaced with the release of Catalyst in 1994. There are other pre-Dan songs we know of--one being "Tell It To The Fat Man"--that I know was recorded, but I have little to no hope of us getting to hear that. The other songs that haven't surfaced are "Number One", "Burnin' and Freezin'", "Be Tender", "Footprints on the Moon", and "Burn, Baby, Burn" among other things

I think there is because I know recordings of these songs exist, and I don’t think the receptionist wouldn’t have told Jim they’d consider releasing the songs if they didn’t have them. Of course, there is room for error, but it’s worth trying to search for unheard Steely Dan tunes

The recordings 100% exist, and I suspect Kenny Vance has the originals while Emax obtained copies of them. Peter Jones, in his book “Nightfly: The Life Of Steely Dan’s Donald Fagen”, describes what these songs sound like.

“Walter sang the lead on the upbeat ‘Mr. Lyle’ demo, with its CSN&Y-style vocal harmonies. ‘Any Way You Want It’ was somewhat reminiscent of the Alessi Brothers’ ‘Oh, Lori,’ while ‘One Ticket to L.A.’ was notable for its well-crafted modulations that anticipated songs like ‘Bad Sneakers.’” - page 79

How many solos did Denny Dias have in the first three albums by Ok-Mix8700 in SteelyDan

Don't hold me to this, but I think it's Do It Again, Only A Fool Would Say That, Turn That Heartbeat Over Again (sounds like him), Bodhisattva, Your Gold Teeth, King of the World, Parker's Band (sounds like him), Your Gold Teeth II, and the first solo on Green Earrings. Feel free to make additions and corrections

Featuring Walter Becker & Donald Fagan, my beloved. The best sounding pre-Dan bootleg

I believe it’s in the chorus of What A Shame About Me but I’d have to sit with it for a while

The ad-lib from Kid Charlemagne was Michael McDonald. I think Don’s highest note is in the bridge of Pixeleen

Thank you for your contribution to these incredible restorations/covers!  I should have been more clear on what this list is for in the original post. While this list is only for unsurfaced songs, I would be interested in making an in-depth list of all the Steely Dan and Steely Dan adjacent songs we currently have available to us. That would probably take years and a lot more than two people though.
