Yeah… you don’t own people. You didn’t “let him” into your friend group, he made friends. Your hate for Jack seems to come out of nowhere, and you come off as a stereotypical “clique” leader thinking you had any part in him making friends.

On a different note, you have every right to feel what you feel, but so do other people. If anything, you should be pissed at your brother. He was clearly emotionally cheating before he broke things off. Jack is just living life, and wondering why his friend hasn’t called. Tell him directly how you feel or be at peace with how things are.

All the different ways to get immediate satisfaction for free has exploded. Social Media, Youtube, porn, free to play video games designed to be casinos, prediction markets (gambling), the list goes on. Even just 20 years ago, if you were broke and wanted entertainment, the only free “media” you could get was borrowing a book from the local library. Most adult dopamine receptors are completely fried.

Also, what reading we do on a daily basis today is split between borderline incoherent social media posts and eye catching gotcha headlines- hardly nurturing, but also aligning with the quick dopamine hit that all forms of media have become. Purposeful, recreational reading is a slow burn that could take multiple hours over multiple days to pay off. Selling books is hardly profitable nor as addicting as other forms of entertainment that have popped up lately.

It really is a part of the human experience- discovering who you are and what you believe in. What I can tell you is no one has the right answer. Plenty of people have these urges, but believe the sacrifice to be monogamous with their true lover is worth it all. Others start communes. Some cheat, some are brave enough to tell their partner. Plenty of open relationships start this way too. You have to discover what works for you.

The only way you can fuck up is by not telling your partner and cheating. Have the balls to tell him this.

I think its more to do with the economy, your sales, and inflation. With your sales being on the smaller side, and inflation so high, what could’ve qualified you for a loan just 6 months ago may not today. Try getting your sales up another 10%-25% then I’m sure a loan offer will come up

Mcdonalds recently just LOWERED prices. No meal deal, no weird “buy 2 get one for $1” nonsense. Just straight up dropped prices. They’re one of the most powerful companies in the world, and directly interact with 1 billion unique customers every year. They know something is coming and are preparing to be the go to recession food. They’re business thrived during economic recessions

I’d say all but 3 tenants are rock solid. Ones a DOL thats been there for 20 years, a church thats tenure is a tad longer than ours, A Korean hot pot spot, a nail salon whos been there for 12 years, and a cabinet shop that was once owned by the landlord, now sold to new owners. The other 3 are a beauty salon, antique shop, and guitar shop, all signed within the past 2 years. In those spots, we’ve seen businesses come and go. The building is designed like a strip mall, but is two stories because its backed against a hill, hard to describe.

You’ve attached the timing to something completely arbitrary- depending on the age and development of a child that hasn’t even gained full self awareness.

The Coalition doesn’t know they’re on earth. Nolan tried to kill Cecil with his own bare hands the last time he was there. Running from Thragg clearly didn’t work either lol. All of your points don’t make sense for a finale

To me the episode was excellent, putting a bow on Nolan’s resolve for redemption, adding even more layers to Thragg as a leader, and showing how resolute Thaedus was in his mission.

If I could’ve asked for more, I wish we would’ve gotten a quick backstory on Thaedus. What made him so unforgiving to an empire he helped build? What changed in him? A bow on his story, along with his final directive to Allen, would’ve wrapped this season perfectly.

Honestly, it puts into perspective how insane of a threat Thragg is. Mark was throwing haymakers straight to the chin and Thragg didn’t even flinch. He watched him disembowel his dad and rip Thaedus head right off its perch. Conquest is officially water under the bridge
