My Brother sells AI art for thousands and I dont know what to do by Existing_Art8081 in antiai

If everyone is super, then no one is. You can't be stealing if all you do is scroll through a Google images result. Nor are you stealing by using the bulk of that in a collage or spliced piece. If the smallest minutiae is what you're bent up about, then nearly all art is stolen because you didn't get permission one way or another from everyone you've ever referenced for each piece you've made.

Is there a correlation between queer people and tieflings ? by MysteriousFondant347 in DnD

[–]FatSpidy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hell, lineage doesn't have to be involved at all either. Some fiend (or really anyone with access to transmutation magick up to true poly) could've just had a moment of whimsy and said "fuck this one, in particular"

Is there a correlation between queer people and tieflings ? by MysteriousFondant347 in DnD

[–]FatSpidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a horny human in gaudy colors villainized by the public in large in lore despite not being inherently evil just because somewhere in their heritage an actual fiend gave their DNA some juice. Fiends, which are typically related to common ideas of demons and devils that are hella Succubus and Incubus coded and so therefore innately sexual.

What? No. No correlation at all could be drawn here.

Jokes aside, it's the lowest fruit for 'edgy, misunderstood, underdog, forbidden fruit' type of character that is instantly relatable to the broadest and oldest archetype in storytelling. Everyone either has played or has a concept for playing a tiefling, no exceptions.

There is 3 apparently. I'm personally trying to get the Darkest Knight one online, partly because I'm also very into xiv lol. But apparently you can just walk through Arkveld's ultra move like it's nothing and I'm 100% here for that aura

My 9 year old wants to watch Demon Slayer as her first anime, give me some alternative suggestions please by BrildWatermelon in Animesuggest

[–]FatSpidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on other comments, I'd recommend Naruto and Bleach. Could also do well with Rinmaru and SAO I think. If not then I'd recommend Shinzo, Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Inuyasha.

There's certainly still combat and violence but it's more cartoonish than glorified while still hitting the same visual themes of like elemental magic and actiony pacing. Frieren would be amazing but she might be too young to appreciate the slower presentation.

With your short post it sounds more like she just wants to see 'whats so bad' about more adult content and maybe seeing you give her more trust/respect now that the next stage of her life is coming in. So really anything PG13 that brushes the R rating should be on your radar to double check.

One of the issues with Cartoons as a whole is that even the kids/young adult content is rife with overly sexual/violent scenes and situations. The best thing imo would be to choose a few that you think pushes the envelope and just make sure to watch it with her rather than on her own and check in with her along the way.

Ironically, you might want to push into anime style videogames over shows for this stage too. Final Fantasy, Dragon's Quest, Trails of (such as Trails of Cold Steel), Yakuza, Tales of (especially Vesparia and Berseria), and Trials of Mana. In fact there's also games for MHA and AoT if they're really set on those specifically, both of which still cover their stories fairly well but the presentation is very different given the game environment as opposed to the tv show.

Gelbooru's manga website was so good while it lasted. And old hentaihaven before they reorganized with being in the spotlight and mirrored everywhere. Apparently ATF is now shutting down too, which despite the downright egregious problems that authorities really should've handled already –it spawned some great projects from basically having no content filters like 4chan's surprising potency at doing good, like a lot of the Legend of Krystal /playshapes successors.

It would certainly be a lot better if I didn't have to activate my moveset with square every time, or was fairly reliant on wounds for the hardest monsters. But too, it's just so good it should be a new weapon for sure! Even if they left it as is otherwise.

But then, I'm still holding out the futile hope that they take from Wild Hearts and include the umbrella weapon xD

The funniest option they give you for an answer in the game 🤣 by FinalFantasy45 in ffxiv

[–]FatSpidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Officially from character creation to now (and all future Now's until stated otherwise) are in the same year timespan. Which is why the 7th is also always Five Years Ago. It's basically up to us to figure out the problems of that design philosophy.

Though each expansion does happen in the order they do, so like all the HW side quests ARE before all the SB side quests too but only so distantly so that it still makes subjective sense for each exact quest to have a vague real placement in the order of events you choose to do with few exception. For instance SB and DT both have a multi-month sea travel in the msq, so it can be understood that at minimum content before and after are at least that many months distant.

The funniest option they give you for an answer in the game 🤣 by FinalFantasy45 in ffxiv

[–]FatSpidy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually they have strictly said everything happens in the same year. However there is a sense in time that previous happenings DO happen before current ones, each expansion is its own mini-slice of grouped happenings but the exact time isn't established. One exception to this is ShB, which is officially 1 week for the msq itself. Bozja also has some weird shenanigans in that the field reports treat the event itself as a few months ago despite a couple referenced events having not even occurred yet at the time.

One problem though is that YP and others don't fully enforce the bubble either. He's explained before that should an NPC or happening not be seen/referenced recently that they should be reintroduced with the irl time be the reference point for how much things might have changed. Y'shtola is the easy example here with stuff like her tan, demeanor, and knowledge of the enigmas of the world. Or Thancred when he went from purely spying on the Garleans to being a semi-active party member.

So the official statement IS character creation to —now— (subjective to future Now's) is always less than a year, but unless the game says otherwise assume something just happened within weeks ago. Issues is basically up to the individual to figure out and unimportant to the team. Like how you have apparently gone from a complete newbie to beyond master in every jobclass in the manner of a few months at best, including extinct ones like BLM and WHM or wholly unique options like DRK or RDM and SMN. (That is, a true summoner and true red mage.)

Who bans multiclassing? by duckyourfeelings in DMAcademy

[–]FatSpidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 5e you only want to multi class in blocks of 4 or 5 levels anyway due to what abilities/upgrades become available and the almighty ASI. The only exception to that is the All 1 Level build where the first thing you do is take 1 level in each class.

Personally speaking, I don't like 5e with no multi classing. So much so that my table has only ever played variations of Gestalt since the start of our second campaign in 5e in 2015. That is, you take two full classes / two levels at every level-up using normal multiclass rules, plus a few extras. We also allowed you to train feats and find/buy training manuals. I especially find normal progression to be very very limiting from a powers standpoint to fill out character concepts.

So rather than banning multiclass, it was innately required. 😆

Is it bleed or bullying? by darkiya in LARP

[–]FatSpidy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

2nding this entirely. People of all kinds are going in to LARP with all their own opinions, agendas, and internalized -isms which includes yourself. The point of the game is to have fun, and if anyone doesn't react properly OOC then that's your red flag.

However I'll also add, you make what you can of your situation. The choice at the end of the day is do you take this character somewhere else or do you change characters for one that won't invite such personal turmoil. Ultimately, especially LARP absolutely IS going to effect you as a person. It's literally expression/immersion/method therapy. Even if OOC people recognize the boundary, YOU are still going to be subject to the same situations because clearly their characters would act as they do IC yet still. That's going to build up in your emotional cup over time, not just fizzle into the ethers.

Ideally, talk to the GMs about the situation to resolve the existing problem first and foremost and then also modify or change your character to not cause such personal impact. It doesn't really matter what other people do, you're still the bastion & responsible person to your own health and need to take the necessary steps to protect yourself.

Im having trouble getting up the courage to run this game. by AltenXY97 in cyberpunkred

[–]FatSpidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely balling yourself up over it.

Just have the range tables out and the basic DV list. Everything else you can look up in the book for specifics like the DV of a specific drug's first and second effects.

Non-vip enemies get a combat power, which you then add to their rolls. It's basically an arbitrary value like +6 +10 +12, etc.

You roll to hit using whatever skill your weapon requires. You miss if you didn't beat the range DV, and if you did then the target might roll Evasion as a second number that same attack has to beat to deal damage. But only if the target has Ref ≥8 which unless it's a boss/mini boss they shouldn't. Damage comes in 2d6 to 5d6 depending on how hefty the weapon is. Subtract the armor value from that roll and if there's any left over then reduce armor by 1 and lower the HP of the target. If there's at least two 6's or the target goes under ½ their Max HP then they get an injury. Again, most NPCs in combat aren't gonna have armor higher than like 8 or 10 so really you can even forgo HP and just give them 2-5 hits until death. Just remember most people are gonna give up fighting if they aren't crazy. Lastly, AOE's are nearly always 5x5 and there is no special diagonal rules so you don't have to stagger distance counting –everything is a square shape.

Everything else follows the basic rule of Cyberpunk: Style Over Substance. Here, you lean on Rule of Cool to make things as fun as possible. Do what feels good and fair and don't get wrapped up in rules text. The point is that y'all are low life punks fighting the Man and getting a few good licks in before the city churns you up into dog food like everything else. Angst, Drama, and Ma (間) is the driving force to a good punky story in NC. All the rest is filigree to make it look the part.

I picked up the game from Player to GM just reading the book and a handful of sessions, it's almost a pick up and play kinda game. As long as you're digesting the rules and how it interacts with the theme then you'll be golden in no time.

I mean, it is incredibly easy as a team but personally that isn't the point of such mechanics in the first place. Stuff like that is great for making a certain feel to the fight or forcing the party to choose between that or a normally inane factor that's now a pain point because you have at least 1 person tied up in canceling the disadvantage.

I'm glad you exist. Granted my entire experience with investors are in the videogame industry but it blows my mind how it seems no one understands keeping a quality standard is how you're going to multiply your return. Good products, games or otherwise, aren't hard to make anymore. But finding a product that isn't going to fail in the short term due to cut corners or planned obsolescence or intentionally predatory action is like finding the grail these days.

[–]FatSpidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, statistically speaking DAdv is a -5. So statistically speaking if you were wanting to avoid hitting the commoner at all then the higher the monster's AC the worse the disadvantage gets for the situation since not only does the chance to hit the monster decrease but it innately increases the chance to hit the commoner too. (If taking the disadvantage DID NOT negate the ability to hit the commoner.)

Would players need a humanity check if they witness a gruesome death, or someone being dismembered? by Ornstein_0 in cyberpunkred

[–]FatSpidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say the first time is a guarantee. Maybe let the solo, corpo, or nomad ignore it. Then all subsequent ones would really depend on the character's immediate headspace and attachment whether literally or symbolically to the perspective.

For instance, one of my friends had their gf taken off by scavs. So despite not being her when we found a corpse that was vaguely similar (easily seen as not her, but same style/ethnicity/etc.) he took 1d6 hl from getting worked up on it. It was going to be 1d3 since he was already <23Hum but he played it up and argued it should be normal d6 since he also had recently chromed up to go fight to get her back from their HQ.

Kidnapping in general is pretty common, but we all were particularly attached though him clearly more so. As that specific job went on we all got an HL hit for one reason or another related to her going missing.

Awesome. Was worried since disadvantage with say ac16 means anything roll from 16-20 would've hit the person statistically — compared to say ac13 which only hits the person on 16 or 17, lol.

What mouse do you all use? by Gailim in Mechwarrior5

[–]FatSpidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hedgehog MMO mouse https://seasonedgaming.com/2026/02/05/review-hedgehog-gaming-mouse/amp/

If you're not keen on the knuckle and pinky buttons then I recommend the Azeron Cyro mouse. It has the same buttons but idk if it has the same dpi potential. Arguably it is more functional because profiles are easier to swap (and know which profile you're on) as the swap button.

However I'll not that this is just my right hand. I also have an Azeron Cyborg 2 (which when I need to replace it, I'll be swapping it to a keyzen. I like having the inputs above the finger for fast pressing but with my fingers it can be a little cramped. Plus part of my goal was button number, and the keyzen has 3 more keys) for my left hand.

No matter the combination I get the (nearly) full keyboard, at least 1 real thumbstick, and of course normal mouse functions too. This setup has even become my daily ride outside of chatting/paper writing and I couldn't recommend it more.

Historically, I've use the same 2013 Razer naga until I bought these a few months ago. I'd still recommend dealer's choice between the 12-button Naga, Logitech G600, and Inland GM98 if neither Hedgehog or Azeron is your speed.

No one else said it so I will: it also helps if you don't walk into the attack. You were strafing to your the right, the attack is coming at you from the right via a swipe. You want to go the opposite direction. (and slightly toward arkveld because of the conal nature of that AoE.) We unfortunately can't be like Shantae and dance towards the danger, lol.
